Chapter
When the king fell, the stranger froze in shock.
Blood rushed from the king’s head. The kinsmen quickly ran to carry the king to the village shrine for treatment.
When they got there, the priest was nowhere to be found. He had gone to pluck some leaves from the deep forest.
Before the priest returned, everyone had already confirmed that the king was dead. The kinsmen immediately ordered the guards to search for the stranger. The guards found him and took hom to the shrine.
The kinsmen told the stranger that the king had been on his way to perform a ritual- to sacrifice himself for the village - before the incident. Because of this, they decided they would crown the stranger before the sacrifice.
The next day, they crowned him king. And the day after, they began the journey for the sacrifice. The kinsmen took him to the deepest, darkest, evil forest where the sacrifice was to be performed.
The stranger couldn’t say a word. But in his mind, he made his last wish:
“GOD, FORGIVE ME. YOU WHO REMEMBERED ME, CAN ALSO FORGIVE ME.”
The kinsmen suddenly realised they had forgotten the sword used for cutting off the king’s head. So they ordered the guard to watch over the stranger while they went back to get it.
The moment they were gone, two spirit appeared. One stood on the left, and one on the right. Without a sound, they struck down the guards.
