Summary

"Lilian." Her tone brisk, "She's your ex, isn't she?" The expression on Gael's face was nothing more than a confirmation. His relationship with Lilian was a thing of the past. She knows that, but knowing wasn't enough to stop her revolting feelings for the woman who still had his attention. The night they had spent together meant so much to Zoe, but for Gael, it seems she wasn't memorable enough. "How did you—" Gael stopped, his eyes following Zoe's movement as she pulled down her skirt, revealing her red lingerie. Slowly, she removed her shirt and then her tank top. A smug expression came to her lips as Gael's eyes were glued to her breasts. She didn't wear any bra.

Chapter 1 Baby doll

Zoe

Just as she was about to cut through the expensive steak on her plate, she saw him.

Zoe couldn't take her eyes away from the handsome man that sat a short distance away. His sharp jaw, his perfect muscular structure.

She paused as she stared into his eyes that were glued to his phone.

His eyes carried the same misery she was familiar with, thanks to her ex-boyfriend.

Picking up her plate and the wine she had ordered, Zoe took a seat at the handsome stranger's table without invitation.

He looked at her, a bit startled by the sudden presence.

She raised her wine bottle up. "You looked like you could use a drink."

Cursing under his breath, he asked, "Was I that obvious?" His deep voice sounded like pleasant music in Zoe's ear.

He was just a stranger, but yet she felt like she could listen to him speak all day.

"Not really." She placed her elbow on the table and used her folded hands to steady her chin as she tilted her head to the side and took note that he had no wedding ring on his finger.

He was trying hard to mask his sadness, but he had already given himself away.

"I can tell because I have been there. Your girlfriend stood you up for one night; if she has any sense, she'll apologise to you tomorrow."

A sad smile tugged at his lips. "It's not just that, she broke up with me," he confessed.

"I can't imagine why any woman in their right mind would want to break up with a beautiful creature like you." Her voice was filled with sincere curiosity.

"Apparently I wasn't good enough for her." He stretched out his hand and took the wine and took a large gulp straight from the bottle. "Turns out my girlfriend has been cheating on me for a long time, and I'm nothing more than a fool for not realising that she had no feelings for me. She only chose to confess the truth to me now because of guilt." He drinks from the wine bottle again.

"Well, she must be blind." Zoe muttered, changing the tone of her voice, "What's your name, handsome?" She asked, "If she doesn't want you, I will take you."

The man chokes on his wine, coughing out in the process, while staring wide-eyed at Zoe.

She wasn't drunk, but feeling like life had pushed her to the edge where she's left with the only option of jumping into the abyss, she has thrown away all forms of logical thinking from her mind.

"I'm sorry, but how old are you?" He asked, trying to state the obvious fact that he was far older than her. But he seemed like a man in his mid-30s, and she was just 21.

Zoe smiled and then used her finger to beckon him closer; leaning towards his ear, she whispered, "I'm old enough not to get you arrested if we fuck."

He laughed, unable to keep a serious expression.

Zoe's words may have sounded wild, but she could tell that he was warming up to her.

Just a little more push, and then she could feel those hard muscles beneath her fingers tonight.

A sound appears from the purse on the table as Zoe's phone rings out.

She took out her phone, frowned, and immediately turned it off.

"Your boyfriend stood you up as well?"

Zoe shakes her head. "It's my shitty mum. I'm supposed to be in another city tonight, celebrating my mum's wedding anniversary with her new husband." She let out a heavy breath before adding, "my ex-boyfriend".

"Fuck, that is messed up." He carefully looks at her, curious. "How..." He paused, not sure if he could ask, "How long have they been married?"

"A year." Zoe furrowed her brow as she thought about it.

Her crazy mother, Lainey, was trying to use all means to force Zoe to accept her relationship. But that was never going to happen.

Zoe let out a bright smile. She didn't like to think of the bastard that betrayed her. "I used the money she gave me for a plane ticket to order this meal and fine wine."

The handsome stranger let out a smile as Zoe drank the wine in her glass.

She didn't want to think about the consequences of her actions. As much as Zoe hated her mum, this time she had needed her mother.

Her father had made the mistake of investing her college funds in a fraudulent company. It wouldn't be the first time her father had made a mistake that was big enough to ruin a life, but unlike her mother, Zoe wasn't going to abandon him.

It pained Zoe to ask her mother for money. Something she swore never to do even though her mum was rich.

Her mother had agreed to pay, only if Zoe took a flight and joined her in celebrating her new relationship.

Zoe was about to do it. Swallow her pride and force herself to meet the two people she hated most. Her father had begged her to do it, but in the end she couldn't. Enjoying a fancy dinner and getting lucky enough to see such a handsome face was better.

"You okay?" He asked in a caring tone that melted Zoe's heart on the spot.

"I will be if you agree to tell me your name and stay with me tonight." She let out a seductive smile. "Just think of it: a fun time with me is better than returning home to cry over a woman who isn't worth it."

The dark look in his eyes made Zoe's smile widen. He wasn't just considering her words, but he had fallen for it.

The door to the hotel room was still open when Zoe wrapped her arms around the neck of the handsome stranger she had been clinging to all evening.

He didn't just kiss her but devoured her as he slammed her against the door.

She moaned as she felt the bulge in his pants grind against her.

Although Zoe's life felt miserable, tonight was strangely going perfectly. First the food and now him.

They hurriedly remove the clothes from their bodies once the door is shut.

Zoe ran her tongue over his, moaning into his mouth as her throbbing core grinds against his hard cock. He groans and tightens his hold on her thighs while standing.

"Patient little doll," he breathes out in a hoarse voice. "I want to feel the inside of that sweet tight pussy of yours."

She shivered at his words.

They were still a few feet away from the bed, and Zoe couldn't feel any patience in her. She grinds herself against him again, and he spanks her hard on the ass, making her moan out in pain.

Dropping her on the bed, he turned her onto her stomach and rubbed a hand over her ass before spanking her again.

"So perfect." He soothed the pain in her ass, laying a kiss on both sides of her ass cheeks before turning her to her back again.

His hand traces her flat stomach and then her breast. Rolling her nipples between his fingers while he watches the pleasure in her expression. "Beautiful. Just like a doll."

"Tell me your name." Zoe breathed out as he thrust into her.

She momentarily forgot her request as she moaned loudly over his quickening pace.

He brought one of her legs over his shoulder, thrusting deeper into her. She let out a satisfied moan.

While Zoe writhed over her orgasm, he took her nipple into his mouth, sucking hard before whispering a name; she couldn't hear over the sound of her moaning.

Did he say Gerald?

With one last stroke, he grunts before collapsing by her side.

They were both out of breath, yet still Zoe wanted more. She turned to him. "Do you still have any condoms left?" Her cheeks turned red, and still she remained shameless.

His hands brushed her dark hair. "Three more, baby doll." He said in a soft voice filled with desire.

***

The next morning, Zoe wakes up with a hard chest pressing against her back. Memories of last night made her smile as she got out of bed.

She took a pen and an old receipt from her purse. Writing down her phone number and a little message for the man still sleeping. She wanted them to have breakfast together.

Zoe quickly took a shower, and to her surprise, when she returned back to the room, her handsome stranger was gone, and he didn't take the number she left out for him.

She had expected him to shower before leaving, but he ran away, almost as though he knew that she wouldn't let him go.

Sighing in disappointment, Zoe dried her hair and dressed before switching her phone on.

Just as expected, she had missed calls from her dad, mum, and Atlas, the bastard.

An email from a college caught her attention.

She opened it and happiness filled her heart as she read through it.

She got a scholarship!
