Marie was a part-time worker for the Michells, who lived in America. One day, as usual, she was doing her job when her manager came and said, "Miss Marie, from now onward you will work in our new branch in Berlin city as you are our most skilled worker."

Marie had no other option but to accept.

So the next day Marie took a bus and went to the city of Berlin. As she got down from the bus, she called for a taxi. "Hey, taxi, stop!" But the taxis ignored her. On her fifth try, a taxi finally stopped. "Hey taxi, will you go to New Bairn?" said Marie.

Then the driver lowered the window. He was a bald old man with wide open eyes and a strange big smile with yellow teeth. "Hey Miss, yes I can drop you in New Bairn. It will be 200 dollars," he said in a strange voice.

"OK," said Marie. And she got into the taxi and went to Bairn. When she reached the destination, she got down and turned back to give the money.

She found nothing. When she turned, she found that it was a mansion.
