Giselle isn't looking for another man.
She's separated from her husband, trying to figure out whether their marriage is worth saving, when Romeo unexpectedly walks into her life.
After saving her from a robbery at her boutique, Romeo becomes her security guard. What starts as friendship quickly turns into something neither of them can ignore. He teaches her self-defense, leaves little notes beneath her office door when he leaves work, and gives her the kind of attention and affection she's never experienced in her marriage.
For Giselle, falling for Romeo feels almost like a fairytale.
Her family doesn't see it that way.
They're suspicious of the man who appeared out of nowhere, especially when Giselle is still married. But she doesn't understand their concern. As far as she knows, Romeo is simply a quiet, protective man who makes her feel loved in a way she's never felt before.
What Giselle doesn't know is that Romeo didn't come to town looking for love. He came to disappear from a life he's desperate to leave behind.
Now the closer his past gets to catching up, the harder it becomes for Romeo to keep it from reaching the woman he's fallen in love with.
