CHAPTER ONE

AN INTRODUCTION.

Years have past since Carters death there have been many changes. Kirsty who had once lived in the flats at Capri life had no family left.

No that’s an untruth; she had one sister. Her sister Anna passed away after being diagnosed with cancer. Thankfully it was a short illness, so she did not suffer for long.

Kirsty opened her heart to Anna’s two children her niece and nephew.The three mourned the loss of a mother and sister together in Capri life’s chapel. Fate played its cruel uncaring hand.

When only a few short months after Anna’s death, Kirsty was also diagnosed with cancer and passed away.

Carter held a service for Kirsty in the site chapel; her speech was jovial making light of Kirsty’s attempt at advertising.

Kirsty’s advertising career lasted for her six-month trial period as she was not offered a renewed contract. Patricia spoke of the group Goulding her in fun to advertise a flower or a cup of coffee.

Kirsty having a good sense of humour took it all in the fun it was meant. The group of friends shared a jokey sense of humour often pranking each other.

Carter who was broken with grief, took the two children in, she could see the family resemblance to Kirsty and Anna in both of them.

Anna being a single parent meant the children were orphans. Anna had gotten pregnant for both children while living in Australia, uncertain of the fatherhood in both cases.

She was a good mother loving both of them with all her heart.

Carter considered why death made her feel more alive than depression. With depression nothing at all matters, there’s a numbness that steals laughter, taste, sleep just about everything.

Yet when a death occurs so does life. Things to arrange, people to comfort, what to wear, how to behave. If only death was depression so no hurt could be felt, let the numbness take it.

I suppose that’s part of getting old, there are more funerals than there are parties.

Carter applied to the court, after welfare checks etc., she was given custody of the two children, who she went on to adopt.

A daughter named Elphida a shy little thing, as bright as a star with a cheeky smile just like her aunt Kirsty. Her name meaning bright expectation, and a son named Ziad.

Who is mischievous a true adventurer, likes to run, climb, a child of nature that wants to be free.

Meaning growth and abundance. The two children moved in and lived happily with Carter.

Now moving forward twenty years after Carter had passed away.

CHAPTER TWO.

MANY CHANGES.

Elphida now owns Capri life, it was left to her and Ziad in equal measure.

The siblings are very close, with traveling the world being Ziad’s passion, Elphida from the great wealth left between them by Carter bought Ziad’s share of Capri life from him.

Meaning they two both had an equal inheritance. Elphida made many changes. An archway which Elphida contracted to local builders adorned the entrance to Capri life. Replacing the old worn-out gateway.

A stone mason carved on the Centre stone in large letters the words Keystone. Which is what Elphida renamed the site. Some of the older static caravans were scrapped, along with some of the larger garden plots being repurposed.

The flats had now become a hostel for travelers. They were still part of Keystone, but now had a separating fence around then, with a separate driveway.

Although the garden space had been reduced, it remained significant, two gardeners who tended the extensive lawn, orchards, vegetable plots, flower beds and hedgerows were Tony and Braidy.

The employment wage remained the same as Patricia had put in place. Residents were still given the option of free static home accommodations

With a reduced wage, the legal minimum wage and pay rent or the legal minimum wage and live off site.

Both Tony and Braidy who was Agnes grandson choose free accommodation. As did Cindy who is reason’s granddaughter and Kate who is Rick’s granddaughter.The couple were waged as the odd job persons.

They both met while having dad visits with Reason and Rick on weekends at Capri life, they grew up together and fell in love.

It is a romantic love story, they are always noticed around the site holding hands and laughing.

They did all the minor repairs around the place both inside and out of the static caravans.

Also, free accommodation was also chosen by Billy whose is Bridgets granddaughter, her job title was mailman, but she also went into town a lot for the sites supplies if needed.

There is no door-to-door post-delivery to Keystone. Outside the front arch entrance there is a large box which all Keystones mail is delivered by the postal service. It is Billy’s job to sort and deliver it.

Elphida after scrapping the oldest mobile homes and reducing the garden size with planning permission granted had two bungalows built.

In one lived a married couple Adam, Eve and their three small children. Next to their bungalow allowing some space for their privacy was a porta cabin office.

This was the sites manager office, Adam an ex-military no nonsense type of guy, being the site manager and his wife Eve the deputy manager.

The other bungalow is home to Elphida and her husband Kallos. Kallos meaning inner virtue. They own but do not work at Keystone, they also have a porta cabin office adjacent to their home.

Which is used for their business a private detective agency, named simply Keystone private detective agency.

Their most usual cases are either cheating husbands or cheating wife’s, they have a good reputation with a high rate of satisfactory outcomes.

On a few occasions due to their solving rates plus Kallos being an ex-police officer get asked to help in police crimes.

He left the police force after being shot in the foot by amateur burglars. Elpida at university studied psychology and social studies, passing both exams with honours.

Their skill sets sit them both adequately qualified for what they do.

On the wall of their bungalow just as Patricia had done so long ago, hangs a photo shopped picture. Patricia, Carter, Kirsty and Anna each holding a baby, one being Elphida the other

Holding Ziad. It is Elphida’s prize possession, she says if there’s a fire get everyone and that picture out.

CHAPTER THREE

THE LANDLORD.

Its been many years since a police officer had cause or suspicion to visit Keystone. I think D.I Tracy Moors was the last Detective that visited and that has to be at least 20 – 25 years ago.

Gossip suggests D.I Moors retired early with a male officer not belonging to her, both living happily in France.

Apparently if you steal a bunch of flowers you’ll go to court, but you can steal someone’s husband and get away with it.

Two disabled families reside at Keystones. Julie a divorcee with her eleven-year-old epileptic daughter Lucy. And husband and wife Carrie and Dominic with their eleven-year-old daughter

Evelyn. The two girls are in separable playing and looking out for each other every day. Evelyn was born with cerebral palsy,

with the complication of structural defects to her vocal tract and brain meaning she has no speech or hearing.

They are the most delightful girls, both find enjoyment in the adjoining forest, So the site manager allocated them static caravans next to each other by the forest.

The eldest of Adams children is Charlie whose also 11 years old, He is a responsible lad, who enjoys joining in games with the two girls,

he always alerts his parents immediately if either girl needs medical assistance. Being a bit of a tom boy climbing tree’s, making bows and arrows, he’s first volunteer to stay with the two girls in the forest.

He knows and abides by the rules that they must never go past a certain tree. They are at all times to remain in sight of the static caravans.

Even though the forest is vast and Charlie would love to explore it. He never ventures past the perimeter of the rules.

Every quarter Elphida travels to the next town in order to purchase stationery supplies for both the Keystone office and the detective agency.

It’s a twenty-mile journey, the closest one to Keystone’s that supplies personalized stationery, headed paper, business cards etc. After Elphida collects from them

She lunches at the same pub each time, a creature of habit choosing the same meal each time. A cheese and cress sandwich with an accompanied glass of lemonade.

This time the pub has a sign on the door reading, closed due to family bereavement. After reading it she looks around opting for the pub right opposite.

While at the bar ordering she enquires about the sign across the road. The landlady who appears to enjoy a bit of gossip was eager to tell. After closing time, the landlord had suffered a massive heart attack

And passed away. Oh gosh Elphida said how awful. Leaning a bit closer the landlady continued, that’s not all. He was found covered in blood the police suspected fowl play, but his postmortem revealed

It was a heart attack. With that the landlady’s eye lite up and guess what, he’d bitten off the tip of his tongue.Elphida attempted to distract her with getting out her purse to pay for the lunch she had ordered.

Was to no avail, as the landlady leaned on the bar towards Elphida to expedite her tell. Blood all down his front, it was his wife who found him, never heard of anyone biting off their tongue before have you?

Elphida attempted a reply as she thought the previous was a question. The landlady was having no such interruption going on to say, I heard there was trouble in the marriage, she was his third wife you know.

Much younger than him, I get to see his sort all the time she better off without him. On that tone Elphida insisted that she pay and have her lunch.

Elphida was relieved to be back at Keystone, she was greeted by Cindy and Kate who were on their way to the forest. When there is

no odd jobs on site to be done the couple collect items for one of their many art projects. They both have the talent to create, two great minds,

a wooden sculptured butterfly that they created rests proudly on a plinth in Keystones graveyard.

In passing on the way to the forest they confide to Elphida that they are creating their masterpiece. A life size sculpture of a plant named Tradescantia which is going to be amazing and look lifelike.

Elphida on parting from them retorted we will find pride of place on site to display it.

On entering the office Kallos looked up from his paperwork to pass Elphida a photograph, a tricky one he smiled. Elphida looking at the photograph of a woman asked why tricky.

Kallos said the husband suspects her of cheating, Elphida thinks to herself yet another cheating on me case. Kallos elongates his thinking by saying I am sure I have seen her here at Keystones.

What if she is getting down and dirty with one of our residents. Should we refuse the job or disclose to the husband that we have seen her here or take on the work and see where it leads.

CHAPTER FOUR.

A VUNERABLE KID.

All is busy at Keystone preparing for their once of month open day sales of their produce. The profits help to fund the running of Keystones. More than that it is a tradition that has happened every year

Since its foundation. The many stalls bulge with jams, pickles, hand crafted clothes, wicker items, fruit, vegetables and so much more. It is a tradition that almost every resident becomes involved with

Each bringing their individual talents. The small adjoining field is used as a car park with the new addition of a car boot sale as Elphida thinks it should be a whole village celebration not just promote Keystone.

Kallos caught site of the woman in the photograph mentally noting for future reference that she was chatting with Agne’s grandson Braidy, One of Keystones gardeners.

Later on, during the open day he also noted she had spoken with Billy who is Bridgets granddaughter and Keystone’s mail person. Followed by a longer natter with Cindy who is Reasons granddaughter.

Him thinking he had better go back to the office to get a note pad a pen was interrupted by a commotion which he hurried over to. Julie’s daughter Lucy was having an epileptic episode.

Laid in the backseat of Kallo’s car with her mum Julie in the passengers seat

Kallos drove them quickly to the hospital. Lucy was admitted for an over night observation stay and discharged the following morning.Elphida was surprised when she answered the door to a detective inspector Richard Finden, He was new to this police force, not a name or face Kallos knew from his days on the force.

He came across as an arrogant man, bit of a I’m in charge know it all. He explained there had been a serious assault in the forest on the same day of Keystones open day.

Do not really know why he came as he did not divulge anything except to say there is no danger, an active police presence is basically for reassurance. Kallos invited him to say more using his police career as a carrot.

Inspector Finden did not bite. Although when asked where in the forest, he did comment that it was much further down, miles from the site and nothing for us to worry about, just a courtesy call.

On his exit a panic ensued as Braidy called for Kallos to come quickly Lucy was having another epileptic episode.

Again, Kallos took her and Julie to the hospital, with the same outcome as before one nights observation and discharged.

A couple days later D.I Finden popped into to see Kallos to ask after Lucy. He mentioned he had been told good things about Kallos at the station, apologizing for getting off on the wrong foot.

Chuckling a little while disclosing the outcome in the forest. Turns out it was a lad with learning difficulties had fallen hitting his head, his parents divulged his history of storytelling,

doubting there was anyone else involved. The poor kid has spent time in mental health facilities for self-harm, concluding that he most probably bit his tongue as he fell Anyhow case closed.

CHAPTER FIVE

EVELYN

There was a buzz of excitement around Keystone, the latest resident mystic Heka who had moved into one of the static caravans had offered to entertain on the lawn. Her birth name Sylvia Thomas

did not exalt her proclaimed phenomenon, her stage name mystic Heka gave a more measured anticipation, Heka an Egyptian word meaning cosmic force. On the lawn her table decorated with magical paraphernalia

served to attract some interest as the seats on the lawn started to fill. Two of the front seats were eagerly taken by Julie and Carrie both hoping for insights into their daughters conditions. Two mothers who would desperately try anything magical or otherwise

To help their daughters. First called forward by Heka was Agnes grandson Braidy, with both of her hands on his head she exclaimed that he was destine for great things, that she could see extensive travel ahead of him.

when she told him that he should find more time for himself to decompress,

he chuckled saying do you mean decompose as I am a gardener and often found near the compost heap. This coupled with the fact Heka’s beaded handkerchief kept slipping off her head caused a ripple of laughter throughout the audience

the laughing was interrupted by Charlie, he had been playing

with the children over by the forest, but not in the forest. Several children whose parents were in Heka’s audience including Lucy and Evelyn along with Charlie’s two younger siblings. Charlie had gone to the toilet and on his return cannot find Evelyn.

Knowing that she would not have gone into the forest alone the residents began to look for her.

Because Evelyn could not speak or hear, calling was of no use, it was decided after forty-five minutes that the search should be organized better as places were getting missed.

A meticulous search had not revealed her whereabouts, Evelyn’s father,

Kallos and Tony venturedinto the forest to search.

While they were searching the forest Elphida contacted the police, who swiftly were on the scene. By this time day light had begun to fade, but there was no reprieve as the residents and police officers searched.

At daybreak the exhausted residents went reluctantly to their beds, D.I. Richard Finden arrived with numerous police officers to interview the residents, take statements from them and organize a police search. A female police liaison

officer was stationed with Evelyns parents Carrie and Dominic, while Elphida and Kallos Told D.I. Finden the events of the previous afternoon and evening.

D.I. Finden having listened over a coffee to the update, commented on the fact that they had not mentioned that anyone had searched the hostel.

Elphida explained it is empty, locked no one can enter with out the key which is in the site managers office.

There is no booking for the hostel that week, so it has been cleaned and locked, she went on to say that as far as she knew the next booking was almost two weeks away.

D.I. Finden was given the hostel keys on request of saying that he will want to take look anyway.

On finishing their coffee’s Kallos escorted the D.I. over to the hostel, on entering it smelt fresh of floral disinfectant as if indeed it had been cleaned.

Kallos who knew the building well, remarked that everything looked as it should, nothing out of place at all.

The D.I. was cautiously inspecting each room when one of his colleagues arrived saying that Evelyn

Had been found in the forest. Looking at the D.I. the officer shook his head in a way that signaled Evelyn was not alive.

Eve Keystone’s deputy manager and a police officer together struggled to restrain Carrie from running into the forest. It took some time for the police to restore a calm amongst the residents.

The forest fenced off with police tape with residents informed not to attempt crossing the police cordon.

Keystone swarmed with a police presence like ants or busy bee’s who requested that residents return to their homes.

Evelyns body was removed further down the forest away from the sight of Keystone. It was decided with the police that Elphida, Kallos,

Adam and Eve separate, go to every resident to instill the importance of staying in their homes.

Elphida’s first call was to Cindy and Kate Keystone’s odd job couple, to whom Elphida stressed the importance of evidence being collected from Keystone, that all residents should allow the police to do their job.

Elphida could see how effected the two women were, changing the subject by commenting on their latest piece of art that was sitting on their table.

She remarked on its beauty, suggesting when finished they may like to place it at Keystone as a remembrance tree for Evelyn.

Kate with sadness in her eyes expressing that it was not the best moment, told Elphida that she had completed all her training as an undertaker,

with an accepted job offer with a funeral director in town would be handing in her notice.

Elphida congratulated her remarking that under the circumstances she would not advertise the position but ask Billy the mail person to work with Cindy.

The mail and odd jobs combined as one position until events settle.

Elphida’s next call was to Evelyns parents Carrie and Dominic. She was refused entry by the police liaison officer, who explained that D.I. Finden expressed to her that no one was to go in until he had

the opportunity to speak with them. Elphida obeyed unhappily with the request, just saying that is ridiculous they need a friend right now.

Ziad Elphida’s brother returned amidst the chaos from his travels volunteering to ease the load by following the woman Elsa Moore.

The female in the photograph that Elphida and Kallos were supposed to be following as part of their private detection.

The coroner presiding over Evelyns inquest concluded that one metre back from where Evelyns body was recovered one of her shoes were wedged slightly under a fallen tree trunk.

Her only injuries at postmortem were a grazed knee and chin. Therefore, he ruled it was in his opinion that Evelyn died of sudden infant death syndrome.

Saying Evelyn was alone, lost, she had tripped over, given her complex medical conditions in shock her heart just stopped.

In a comforting tone he continued by saying sudden infant death syndrome is more common than realized. That Evelyn would have not suffered it would have been quick and painless.

This being his professional ruling for her death certificate he is happy to release her body for burial.

CHAPTER SIX

PROTESTERS.

Evelyns lifeless body is released to the undertakers where Kate works, she lovingly prepares Evelyn for burial in Keystones graveyard.

She took great care speaking gently to her as she washed and combed the little girls hair, dressing her in her favourite pink dress that her parents had brought in.

She looked beautifully asleep; Kate had to quickly wipe her own cheeks to avoid her tears dropping on to this little angel who now lays forever still.

After an extremely emotional funeral Carrie and Dominic visit mystic Heka for answers. Heka with her heart full of love reiterates the words of the coroner.

That Evelyn felt no pain, adding that she plays in a new environment where she now hears and speaks. She is healed she no longer has earthly cerebral palsy,

she runs, laughs and plays with the other children there. She does not want her parents to be sad as when the chosen time arrives they will be together again for eternity.

The words Heka departed to them in love, had not had the desired effect when after not seeing them both for a week, site manager Adam forced entry to their static caravan to carry out a welfare check.

Carrie and Dominic lay together lifeless on their bed, D.I. Finden once again attends the scene. A veil of sadness hangs all around, like a Shakespearian tragedy unfolding in front of everyone.

Carrie and Dominic’s families who do not get along with each other insist on separating the deceased. After the postmortems Carries family have her body transported to an undertaker near to their home several miles away,

Dominic’s family also have his body rested at an undertaker near their home. The couple will be buried many miles apart, both families making it clear that no one from Keystone’s were to attend their funerals.

They did not want Carrie or Dominic to move to live at Keystone in the first place, which they referred to as a cult full of unnatural behaviors.

The only consensus the two families agreed on was the fact that they would together be applying to the courts to have their granddaughter Evelyns body removed from Keystones graveyard.

Elphida knowing of her grandmothers experiences within a cult tried reaching out to them, she could sympathize with their fears and hopefully reassure them.

In a long letter she invited them to come and visit Keystone.

The reply to her came via a solicitor, informing her she was not to contact the families again, all correspondence should be through legal representations.

Replying offering the solicitor to visit was to no avail, as legal court proceedings were being prepared.

Elphida being of no relation to Evelyn knew her only defense was to say it was her parents wishes to bury her at Keystone; this was counteracted by her grandparents accusing cult members of drugging them.

With claims and counterclaims being collected by the solicitors involved, all parties were made aware it would probably take at least two years to get to court.

For now, Elphida had other issues as the adjoining forest filled up with protesters, carrying boards with slogans on them condemning that some of the forest could be sold off to property developers.

Protesters spilled over into Keystone looking for the use of toilets or to refill water bottles, Keystones residents had been through so much already that with a site meeting and everyone’s consent

it was agreed to erect a high fence around the whole perimeter with C.C.T.V cameras.

It was something that had been in consideration for some time as society in general felt a lot less safe than it once did. It was the intrusion of the protesters that tipped the balance, although none

Of the residents were enamored with the prospect of part of the forest been destroyed. The protesters chained them selves to trees, trampled without consideration over plants and scared wildlife.

They played loud music throughout the nights using torches and lamps with no mind to the animals that they scared. Their inconsideration brought media attention, which in turn advertised the existence

of the forest far and wide. This served to encourage more of the protesters peers to invade the forest with tents, illegally setting up camp sites among the trees.

Kallos walked into the forest explaining to a group of protesters that the residents of Keystone respect their right to protest, but do not respect some of the choices being made. Such as litter, scaring wildlife and loud

music from those who had deemed it ok to bring their musical instruments with them.

On his walk through the forest to Keystones he stopped to see if he could help an injured fox that was limping badly, but it scurried away.

With permission Cindy, Kate and Billy built a temporary pen, then went into the forest to try to find the injured animal.

The three women are living together in one static caravan as a thruple. A thruple being three adult women

Living together in a romantic consensual relationship. Wearing gloves and taking a lead and collar, they find the limping fox, with food and water they put it into their pen.

Eve doing her site inspections was shocked to see the helpless fox chained in the pen. Cindy who was checking on the fox who she had named Ginger explained its limp to Eve, also saying she thinks the protesters

Had hit or kicked him in the face hence the blood around its mouth. Eve retorted it can stay in the pen but not chained on a lead, and tomorrow you must take it to a vet.

The next morning the fox had escaped to its freedom.

Eve asked the three women to come to the site office to see her, she sternly told them that she wanted the pen dissembled, she was in contact with the animal services and the media.

In total she had witnessed at least four other forest animals in their makeshift pen, which is absolutely unacceptable, injured animals require veterinary care. Standing up to open a window she continued

You have not taken one animal to the vet; you merely feed it for a couple of days and release it back into the forest. I understand your kind thinking, but you are not helping, how do you know these creatures are well,

You do not do you, what if you’re releasing them to their deaths. All the animals you have penned were bleeding from their mouths and noses, a sign of poisoning them or some type of criminal injury.

The police and animal services are attending the forest today they will want to speak to you three.

CHAPTER SEVEN.

After a judge granted the police permission the protesters were evicted from the forest and normality returned.

Ziad had been observing the movements of Elsa Moore with nothing much to report back.

She does indeed visit the site, talks to random residents, she has not been seen going into any of the homes at Keystones. Ziad spoke to some of the same residents enquiring about Elsa.

They all say the same, she’s a bit odd, she ask’s about Keystones, about its history, seems friendly and harmless. No one he spoke to thought she may be visiting someone romantically,

More that she maybe checking it is not a cult, perhaps with the intention of moving here. Ziad reported this to Kallos who passed the information to Elsa’s husband.

Elphida chanced upon Elsa sitting on a bench in Keystones graveyard, not wanting to be rude yet also wanting to find out why she was sat there Elphida sat beside her.

Elsa eagerly poured out, like it had been held in for so long the dam broke. I have no family of my own, I have a loving husband but want to know my roots, what makes me who I am.

Where I came from, my history. The two sat talking for a couple of hours, it transpired that a DNA test had revealed a distant connection to Elphida’s grandmother Patricia.

Elphida gently told Elsa about the cult that her grandmother was born into, filling in some many missing parts that Elsa was not aware of.

Elsa never returned to Keystones and with the mystery solved

Ziad left once more on his traveling.

The courts did not take the expected two years plus, much to Elphida’s relief the judge ruled that Evelyns body was not to be moved, that she would stay

Eternally resting in Keystones graveyard. The outcome was a welcome rest bite from so much sadness and chaos.

There were relationship cracks appearing in the thruple Cindy, Billy and Kate who had been working together to finish their Art insulation in memory of Evelyn.

Adam and Eve arrived at the three women’s caravan to assist with the large piece of art being carried, they arrived to shouting that could be heard around the site.

Causing Elphida and Kallos to arrive to find out what was causing such a commotion.

The three women pointed while accusing each other of wrong doings. Kallos banged his hand loudly on the table while shouting stop.

Now one at a time does anyone want to explain what is going on here, let’s talk civilly with respect for the other residents who are not interested in your domestic.

Cindy tore a leaf from the art sculpture throwing it at Kate, saying go on tell them, before standing with Billy in an embrace.

Kate looking straight at Elphida, Cindy and I were doing ok, we were happy until you got Billy to work with Cindy.

Billy still embracing Cindy said go on Kate tell them what’s in your hand. Elphida gently took the leaf from Kate’s hand asking is all this fuss about one leaf.

Kate ran out the open caravan door, while Cindy calmly said that is not a leaf it is the dried tip of Evelyns tongue. Pointing to the sculpture, every leaf on the tree is a dried tongue.

Kallos stated the obvious which was that cant be true there are too many. Cindy again very calmly replied that’s why Kate trained to work in the funeral directors.

A tear ran down Elphida’s cheek as she unfolded her hand to look at what she could hardly believe to be true. Adam using his mobile phone telephoned the police station,

Eve questioned is this all Kate’s doing, Cindy admitted that at first it was her and Kate, then later Billy. Who quickly butted in I never cut anyone’s tongue only helped to dry and attach them.

And at first I never knew one of them was Evelyns, I thought they were animal tongues from the makeshift pen. How quickly their loyalties crumbled, Billy and Cindy no longer embracing

as accusations flew. Kallos said should we find Kate, but Adam thought not to, that it would be better to wait for the police to arrive.

D.I. Finden arrived expressing that the telephone call to the station by Adam was extremely confusing. Looking at Adam while itching his head in thought, recapping you telephoned the police station to report

A piece of art made from human tongues is that correct. Adam gestured to the table where the sculpture sat, D.I. Finden requested that everyone step outside as not to disturb evidence.

Elphida offered her hand saying this is Evelyns tongue, which he refused to hold asking her to place it straight into an evidence bag.

The D.I. radioed back to the police station requesting more police officers.

A police hunt was activated to find Kate, Cindy and Billy were taken into custody, while police officers were taking statements from Elphida, Adam, Eve and Kallos.

D.I Finden enquired what exactly is the art piece about, Elphida said it is a Tradescantia tree in memory of Evelyn. The inspector said never heard of it as he wrote the name into google on his phone.

Biting on the corner of his lip while reading aloud, also known as the purple tongue plant. Informing the four forensics’ would be taking it along with items from the thruple’s caravan and any other art instillations

At Keystone.

Elphida, Adam, Kallos and Eve were in shock and with permission from the D.I went to the site office together to have a cup of coffee and try to make sense of what has just gone on.

Kate was quickly found and days later the D.I. came to give Elphida a courtesy update. Firstly, he said that no other sculpture contained any human parts and would be returned.

That the three had not killed anyone, Kate and Cindy had come across a piece of a tongue that a young lad had bitten off in the forest. It matched perfectly to their art need

and so, the plan was born. Kate trained and found work in an undertaker where she collected tips of tongues without any suspicions. Topping them up with a few animal ones.

When she was asked to get Evelyn ready for burial it became obvious to her, that it would be such a lasting honor for her to include her tongue.

All three women has played a part in this most unusual crime. All three charged with the desecration of the deceased, both human and animal. There will be other charges to follow.

All three will no doubt receive long prison sentences.

D.I. Finden concluded that Evelyns grandparents would be notified, although his report and recommendation will be for Evelyns body to remain at Keystone.

He can’t guarantee that they wont again seek legal intervention.

Kate received twelve years in prison; Cindy received eight years and Billy who the judge said had very little involvement received a two-year suspended sentence.

Billy was asked to leave Keystone as the site managers Adam and Eve did not consider it appropriate for her to stay.
