chapter 1- A Strange Feeling
Raj was a twenty-nine-year-old billionaire. He was handsome, successful, and a little strict, but deep down, he had a kind heart. He had never been in a serious relationship and had never been interested in love or affairs.
He was the owner of Raj Group of Companies and had built a business worth millions.
But his life had not always been luxurious.
Raj had no parents and no family to call his own. He had grown up in an orphanage. As he grew older, he worked hard, became successful, and made a name for himself.
Even after becoming rich, he never forgot the place where he had spent his childhood. He took responsibility for the orphanage and made sure the children there had everything they needed.
Apart from work, Raj loved travelling.
Once every month, he would take a break from his busy life and spend a week somewhere abroad.
As usual, during the last week of July, Raj decided to travel again.
This time, his destination was Vietnam.
He left in his private jet along with his bodyguards. At around two in the afternoon, his jet landed in Hanoi.
A luxury car was already waiting for him at the airport. Raj was going to spend the entire week at one of the city's finest hotels.
When he arrived, the hotel staff welcomed him with VIP treatment.
After entering his luxurious room, Raj looked around and smiled to himself.
“So, I'm finally in Vietnam. Let's see what this trip has for me.”
He was about to freshen up when his phone rang.
Raj answered the call and walked out of his room while talking.
That was when he noticed someone.
A young woman from the hotel staff.
She was beautiful.
But it wasn't only her beauty that caught his attention.
She was speaking to one of the guests with such kindness and warmth that Raj found himself watching her.
For the first time in his life, he was looking at a woman so carefully.
His eyes slowly moved to the name tag on her uniform.
Lein.
For a few seconds, Raj completely forgot about everything else.
Then he suddenly remembered—
The phone.
He was still on a call.
He realized that he hadn't heard a single word the other person had said for the past few moments.
Raj quickly made an excuse that the connection wasn't clear and tried to focus on the conversation again.
But something was different.
For some strange reason, he couldn't concentrate.
It was a feeling he had never experienced before.
After finishing the call, Raj returned to his room.
But one question stayed in his mind.
What was so different about her?
A little later, Raj called the hotel staff and ordered some food.
After some time, the doorbell rang.
He opened the door.
And froze.
His heartbeat suddenly became faster.
It was Lein.
“Sir, your order,” she said in her soft voice.
Raj stared at her for a moment.
“Sir?” Lein spoke again. “Please receive your order.”
Raj finally came back to his senses.
“Yeah... sure.”
“Would you like anything else, sir?” she asked politely.
“No. That's all. You can leave it inside.”
Lein placed the order inside his room and turned to leave.
Raj's eyes followed her.
She was almost at the door when he suddenly spoke.
“Excuse me...”
Lein turned around.
“Yes, sir?”
Raj pointed towards her shoulder.
“I think there's something on your shirt... right there.”
Lein quickly looked at her shoulder and brushed it away.
“Thank you, sir.”
She gave him a small smile before walking out of the room.
The door closed.
A faint smile appeared on Raj's face.
The truth was...
There had been nothing on her shoulder.
Raj had simply needed a reason to speak to her again.
