Chapter 13:LEARNING TO TRUST THE JOURNEY
I think the next part should move from dreams into faith and patience—Julia learning that not everything has to happen immediately, and that waiting doesn't mean her life is standing still.
Chapter 13: Learning to Trust the Journey
I had reached a point where I wanted answers.
I wanted to know when my life would change, when I would find the right opportunity, when I would finally feel secure, and when the things I had been praying for would become reality.
But life does not always give us answers when we want them.
Sometimes, all we can do is keep walking.
There were days when I felt like I was waiting for my life to begin. I would look at other people and wonder why everything seemed to be moving for them while I was still trying to find my way.
But I slowly began to understand that my journey was not supposed to look like anyone else's.
Maybe I was not behind.
Maybe I was simply on a different path.
I started learning to be patient with myself.
I stopped expecting myself to have everything figured out.
I allowed myself to make mistakes.
I allowed myself to have bad days.
And I allowed myself to hope again.
Faith became important to me during those moments.
When I did not know what tomorrow would bring, I reminded myself that not knowing did not mean that nothing was happening.
Sometimes things are changing quietly before we can see the results.
I began believing that the opportunities meant for me would come at the right time.
That did not mean I would sit and wait without doing anything.
I would still apply for jobs.
I would still learn.
I would still write.
I would still look for ways to improve my life.
But I would stop punishing myself for things that were outside my control.
I learned that patience is not giving up.
Patience is continuing to move forward while trusting that your efforts will eventually lead somewhere.
There were still moments when fear returned.
I wondered whether I would ever become financially independent.
I wondered whether my dreams would come true.
I wondered whether I would ever experience the kind of love and peace I wanted.
But instead of allowing those questions to destroy my hope, I began using them as reminders to keep going.
I may not know what my future looks like.
But I know I want to be part of creating it.
I know I have dreams worth pursuing.
I know I have a story worth telling.
And I know that my life is still unfolding.
Maybe I don't need to know the entire journey today.
Maybe I only need to take the next step.
So I will keep walking.
I will keep praying.
I will keep working toward my dreams.
And I will keep trusting that one day, when I look back at this season of my life, I will understand why I had to go through it.
Until then, I choose patience.
I choose hope.
And I choose to trust the journey. ❤️
