A novel written by Mira

BEFORE THE BEGINNING

Before Mira knew the names of the powers, there was only a world suspended between silence and

light.

The first world had been beautiful. Its cities floated above silver seas, forests grew beneath skies filled

with rivers of stars, and the peoples of the elements lived beside one another as though the world itself had

promised them forever.

But forever is a promise no world can make.

Seven lights once stood at the heart of Creation. Six were understood: Ice, Water, Fire, Wind,

Lightning, and the power that bound them together—Connection, the balance between forces that would

otherwise destroy one another.

The seventh had no name. It was not destruction. It was not life. It was the ability to make something

that had never existed before.

Creation.

When the first bearer reached for it, the world answered. And the world broke.

A girl stood among the ruins, a black wolf beside her. She looked upon a sky split by silver fire and

understood, too late, that power without wisdom could turn even a beautiful dream into a catastrophe.

She sealed what remained. She divided memories that were too dangerous to carry. She left a promise

behind.

“If you ever forget me,” she whispered to someone she loved, “I will find you again.”

Then the world went dark.

Long afterward, another girl would wake in a quiet home, unaware that six ancient powers were waiting

for her.

Her name was Mira.

And the story was about to begin.

Ku_Rolet: The novel was good, and I really enjoyed reading it. I love the leads and their bond, but I have one question that confused me. How could Tristan have been dreaming about his mate since he was a child if Omara was already mated to someone else before him? If Kyle had accepted Omara, would Tristan ne...
