One Year Later...
The city was glowing under the evening lights.
A grand business event was being held inside one of the most prestigious companies in the city.
Y/N stood beside David, dressed elegantly in black.
David smiled as he looked at her.
David : “You look beautiful tonight, sweetheart.”
Y/N smiled.
Y/N :“I know.”
David laughed softly.
David: “Still as confident as ever.”
Y/N :“And you still like it.”
David smiled.
David :“Maybe a little too much.”
Y/N laughed.
They continued walking through the crowded hall.
David stayed close to her, occasionally talking to her while Y/N listened.
A few minutes later—
Y/N was walking beside David when someone suddenly collided with her.
She turned around.
Y/N :“Watch where you’re going.”
the man looked at her calmly
Man : “You’re the one standing in the middle of the way.”
Y/N frowned.
Before she could reply, David stepped forward calmly.
David :“It’s okay. There’s no need to argue.”
the man looked at David.
Then his eyes moved toward Y/N.
A faint, mocking smile appeared on his face.
Man : “So you need her to speak for you too?”
David’s expression changed slightly.
David :“Excuse me?”
man shrugged.
Man : “Nothing.”
He looked at Y/N.
Man :“I just find it interesting.”
“She looks like the kind of woman who has to protect you everywhere you go.”
Y/N’s eyes narrowed.
Y/N :“Enough.”
But he continued.
Man : "And honestly...”
He looked David up and down.
Man : “I don’t understand why someone like her would waste her time with a man who can’t even stand up for himself.”
David stayed silent.
Y/N’s expression hardened.
⚡ Y/N :“Take that back.”
he smirked.
Man : “Why?”
“Did I hurt your feelings?”
Y/N stepped closer.
Y/N : “No.”
“You insulted someone who doesn’t deserve it.”
he gave a short laugh.
Man : “Then maybe your boyfriend should learn how to defend himself.”
David gently touched Y/N’s arm.
David : “Y/N, leave it.”
But he looked at David again.
Man : “See?”
“He even needs you to handle his problems.”
That was the final straw.
SLAP!
The sound echoed through the hall.
Everyone went silent.
He slowly turned his face back toward Y/N.
Y/N stared at him coldly.
Y/N :“Never disrespect him again.”
David looked at Y/N.
For the first time that evening, his expression softened completely.
Because she hadn’t slapped him because of herself.
She had done it because he had insulted David.
Man: “How dare you!”
He angrily stepped forward.
Tae: “Jimin, let it go.”
Jimin looked at him angrily.
Jimin: “She just slapped me.”
Tae: “I know. Just let it go.”
Jimin stared at Y/N for a few seconds.
Y/N didn’t say anything. She simply stood beside David, still looking angry.
Jimin slowly pulled his arm away from Tae’s grip.
Jimin: “Fine.”
Tae nodded.
Tae: “Let’s go.”
Jimin turned around and walked away with Tae.
David looked at Y/N.
David: “You didn’t have to do that.”
Y/N: “I couldn’t just stand there while he insulted you.”
David looked at her for a moment, visibly touched.
David: “You’re really something, sweetheart.”
Y/N smiled softly.
Y/N: “Come on baby Let’s go.”
Later that evening, Y/N returned home.
She walked straight into the kitchen.
Y/N: “Ahh... I’m thirsty. I’ll have some water.”
She opened the refrigerator and reached for a bottle.
Suddenly, someone grabbed her and pinned her against the wall.
Y/N: “Jimin! You really scared me!”
Jimin: “Oh, really?”
Y/N: “Yes! Now let me go. I’m thirsty.”
Jimin: “Why did you slap me so hard?”
Y/N: “Hehehe... I accidentally hit you harder than I meant to. Besides, that was part of our plan, wasn’t it?”
Jimin: “Hmm...”
Jimin looked at her with an amused expression.
Jimin: “Now complete the second part of the plan too, wifey.”
Y/N: “When did we make a second plan?”
Jimin: “Just now.”
Y/N: “Jimin...”
Jimin: “Come on, hurry up.”
Y/N: “But I still need to drink my...!”
“He suddenly smashed his lips against hers...”
Tae: “UFFFFF! You two start your drama anywhere!”
Y/N immediately stepped away.
Jimin: “You always have a habit of showing up at the wrong time.”
Wonyoung giggled.
Wonyoung: “No, you two have a habit of choosing the wrong places.”
Tae: “You two are the ones who start your nonsense everywhere.”
Jimin: “...”
Y/N couldn’t stop herself from laughing.
Wonyoung: “Anyway, if you two husband and wife are finally free, let’s have dinner.”
From the dining room, Jungkook shouted—
Jungkook: “BRING THE FOOD QUICKLY! I’M STARVING!”
Tae sighed.
Tae: “There he goes again.”
Everyone laughed.
The dinner continued with a light atmosphere.
Everyone was still discussing the incident at the business event, especially how perfectly David had fallen for their act.
Tae leaned back in his chair with a satisfied smile.
Tae: “I’m telling you, David didn’t suspect a thing.”
Wonyoung: “Not even a little. Y/N’s reaction was too convincing.”
Jungkook, who had already finished his food, immediately interrupted.
Jungkook: “Can we please discuss something more important?”
Tae: “What?”
Jungkook: “Dessert.”
Everyone laughed.
Jimin shook his head while Y/N smiled softly.
Jimin: “You’re impossible.”
Jungkook: “I’m hungry again.”
Tae: “You literally just ate.”
Jungkook: “That was dinner. I’m talking about dessert.”
The room filled with laughter again.
For the moment, everything felt normal.
David had believed their story.
There was no reason for him to doubt Y/N anymore.
Their plan was going exactly the way they had wanted.
Later that night...
Y/N and Jimin finally entered their bedroom.
The moment the door closed behind them, the playful atmosphere from downstairs slowly disappeared.
Jimin noticed that Y/N had suddenly become quiet.
She sat on the edge of the bed, lost in thought.
Jimin walked closer and sat beside her.
Jimin: “Sparkle... what happened?”
Y/N looked at him.
Y/N: “Nothing.”
Jimin studied her face carefully.
Jimin: “Don’t lie to me. You’re looking worried.”
Y/N stayed silent for a moment.
Then she slowly placed one hand over her abdomen.
Y/N: “I’m okay, Jimin... I just...”
She looked down at her hand.
Y/N: “I’m a little scared.”
Jimin’s expression immediately softened.
Jimin: “Why?”
Y/N looked at him.
Y/N: “Because of this.”
Her hand remained gently over her four-month baby bump.
For a moment, Jimin said nothing.
Then a small, reassuring smile appeared on his face.
He gently covered her hand with his.
Jimin: “Sparkle If you’re scared, .. you can step away from the plan.”
Y/N looked at him in surprise.
Jimin: “You don’t have to prove anything to anyone.”
His voice became softer.
Jimin: “You, me and our little one... that’s what matters.”
Y/N’s eyes softened.
Jimin: “If leaving this plan is what keeps you both safe, then that’s what we’ll do.”
Y/N shook her head slowly.
Y/N: “No, Jimin.”
Jimin: “YN...”
Y/N: “This is important.”
She looked directly into his eyes.
Y/N: “Everything has gone exactly according to our plan until now. We’ve come this far... we can’t just stop in the middle.”
Jimin sighed softly.
Jimin: “I knew you were going to say that.”
Y/N gave him a tiny smile.
Y/N: “Because you know me.”
Jimin smiled back.
Jimin: “Unfortunately, I know you too well.”
Y/N lightly nudged his shoulder.
Y/N: “Hey.”
Jimin chuckled before becoming serious again.
Jimin: “Fine.”
He gently touched her hand.
Jimin: “But you have to promise me something.”
Y/N: “What?”
Jimin: “You take care of yourself.”
His eyes moved briefly toward her stomach.
Jimin: “And you take care of my junior too.”
Y/N couldn’t help but smile.
Y/N: “Your junior?”
Jimin: “Of course.”
Y/N: “What if it’s a girl?”
Jimin thought for a second.
Jimin: “Then... my little princess.”
Y/N laughed softly.
Jimin smiled and gently pulled her closer.
Jimin: “Whatever it is... I just want both of you safe.”
Y/N rested her head against his shoulder.
Y/N: “We’ll be safe.”
Jimin: “You better be.”
Y/N: “Promise.”
Jimin gently kissed her forehead.
