Lets Begin With Chapter 1..
VÉLORA MUSIC GROUP.
The name alone was enough to make people stop and listen. The world's largest music company. The place where legendary artists came to create their biggest songs, where producers fought for collaborations, and where one project could change an artist's entire career. Vélora wasn't simply successful. It was an empire.
Its influence stretched across countries, artists, producers, studios, records, collaborations, and countless music projects. Every year, thousands of talented people dreamed of working there. Only a few were chosen.
And once someone entered Vélora, staying there wasn't easy. The company expected perfection. Mistakes could cost millions. A wrong schedule could ruin an international collaboration. A missing file could delay an entire album.
And confidential information? That could never leave the building. At the very top of this enormous empire stood Edward Knight. The current CEO. A respected businessman who had spent years protecting Vélora's reputation and taking it even further.
But Vélora wasn't something Edward had created. The company had existed long before him. Its origins were buried deep within a history that very few people knew completely. Even inside Vélora, questions about its beginning were rarely asked.
And Edward never answered them. For almost a year, four young employees had been working inside that empire. Four people with extraordinary talent. Four people who had already caught the CEO's attention.
And strangely... They had never properly met.
ARIA
"Finally."
Aria shut down her computer and leaned back in her chair. The office clock showed 7:43 PM. She stared at it.
"Seven forty-three."
She sighed dramatically.
"I have officially sacrificed my entire evening to spreadsheets."
Her coworker glanced over.
"You've been staring at that screen for ten minutes."
"I was saying goodbye."
"To the spreadsheet?"
"Yes."
She picked up her bag.
"It was a beautiful relationship."
Her coworker laughed.
Aria grinned.
That was Aria.
Beautiful, bright, dramatic, savage, and impossible to ignore. She could turn the dullest workplace into chaos without even trying. But behind her cheerful personality was a mind that was frighteningly sharp.
She had been working at Vélora for almost a year. In that time, she'd gained a reputation for solving problems faster than most people expected.
She didn't come from a powerful family. She didn't have connections. She had earned every opportunity herself.
And she was proud of it.
Aria looked around the nearly empty office.
"Goodnight."
Nobody answered.
She frowned.
"Wow. Abandoned."
She walked away anyway.
ROWAN
On another floor of the same building, Rowan was still working. His fingers moved quickly across his keyboard. Numbers. Schedules. Collaboration details. He checked everything twice. Then once more.
Finally, he leaned back.
"Perfect."
A notification appeared.
PROJECT UPDATED SUCCESSFULLY.
Rowan smiled.
"See? I'm amazing."
Nobody was there to hear him. He shrugged.
"Still true."
He closed his laptop. Rowan was charming, playful, sarcastic, savage, and brilliant. He could make almost anyone laugh. He could also annoy almost anyone within five minutes.
But when it came to work, he was different. Focused. Fast. Precise. His talent had been noticed within months of joining Vélora. He had no idea that someone much higher up had been watching his progress from the beginning.
He grabbed his jacket and left.
HAZEL
The office was almost completely silent. Hazel sat alone. She was reading through a report that had already been approved. Something wasn't right. She frowned. She read it again. There. A small inconsistency. Nothing major.
Something most people would overlook. Hazel didn't. She corrected it. Saved the document. Then closed her laptop. Hazel was quiet, beautiful, composed, savage, and incredibly intelligent.
She didn't speak unless she had something worth saying. She noticed things. Tiny things. Things other people missed. For almost a year, she'd worked at Vélora without becoming close to anyone.
Not because she disliked people. She simply didn't see the point in unnecessary conversations. Work. Finish. Go home. Repeat. That was enough.
She picked up her bag. Before leaving, she glanced once at the empty office. Then walked out.
LIAM
The last light on the twenty-fourth floor remained on. Liam was still working. His screen displayed a complicated collaboration schedule involving three international artists and two production teams.
One timing conflict. He noticed it immediately. He changed the schedule. Checked the consequences. Fixed another issue.
Then closed the file. Done. Liam was cold, handsome, calculating, savage, and almost impossible to read. He didn't trust easily. He didn't waste words.
And he certainly didn't stay at work longer than necessary. He looked at the clock.
8:02 PM.
"Enough."
He stood, picked up his coat, and left. Like the other three, Liam had been at Vélora for almost a year. And like the others... He had never bothered to know who worked around him.
He knew names from emails. He knew departments. He knew deadlines. But faces? Friends Personal lives? None of it mattered to him.
At least... that's what he believed.
8:30 PM — EDWARD KNIGHT'S OFFICE
The top floor of Vélora was quiet. Edward Knight stood beside the enormous window overlooking the city. The lights below stretched endlessly. His desk was covered with files.
Four files.
He picked up the first.
ARIA.
He opened it. Performance reports. Projects completed. Recommendations. Employee evaluations. His eyes moved across the pages.
Then he placed it down.
The second.
ROWAN.
Then the third.
HAZEL.
Then the fourth.
LIAM.
Edward looked at all four names. For almost a year, he had watched them. Not personally. Not openly. But through their work. He knew their strengths. Their weaknesses. Their habits. Their potential.
And more importantly... he knew things about them that they didn't know he knew. Edward slowly sat down.
His assistant entered the room.
"Sir?"
Edward looked up.
"Come in."
The assistant approached the desk.
"You asked for the four employee files."
Edward nodded.
"They've been here almost a year."
"Yes."
Edward looked toward the window again.
"That's going to change."
His assistant hesitated.
"Are you talking about the new executive team?"
Edward didn't answer immediately.
For years, he had carried the responsibility of Vélora on his shoulders. But time didn't stop for anyone. He was getting older. And eventually, someone else would have to carry the company forward.
But Edward wasn't ready to hand Vélora over yet. Not until he was certain the company would remain in capable hands. He needed people who could think beyond their positions. People who could handle pressure. People who could protect Vélora.
People who could take responsibility when he no longer could. And he had already found four.
The assistant looked at the files.
"Why these four?"
Edward's expression remained calm.
"Because they're the best."
The assistant nodded. But Edward knew that wasn't the whole truth.
There was another reason. A reason he wasn't ready to share.
Not yet.
He closed the four files.
"Tomorrow," he said.
"Tomorrow?"
"Arrange a meeting."
The assistant looked confused.
"With whom?"
Edward looked down at the four names one final time.
Then quietly said—
"All four."
The assistant nodded and left.
Edward remained alone.
His eyes stayed on the closed files.
Four strangers. Four extraordinary minds. Four lives that had never crossed.
And now... they were about to.
But Edward Knight knew something none of them did. Bringing these four together wouldn't just change Vélora.
It would uncover things that had been hidden for years.
And some secrets... were never meant to be found.
