Chronica de Mortuis Ambulantibus
Eira comes from the Village of Grønby. She lives with her sister Sigrid who dearly loves her. When she was just a child, she was gifted a horse that she had named Soti. She loves this horse, taking time out of her day to make sure Soti is properly groomed, and fed, sharing her own food so that Soti may eat.
Eira was allegedly dispatched to warn the village of Veiðiholt. Eira was riding Soti towards the nearby village of Veiðiholt when [...] had bitten her horse. They fled with haste, and she returned to her village of Grønby.
Before long, Soti's stride began to falter. But the pair made it to the stables. Eira remained by her side for some time, tending to her illness as best she could and pleading with her to endure.
Eventually Eira had passed out, when she awoke, Soti was nowhere to be seen.
Eira could not understand why her closest companion would suddenly leave her, and so she set out to find her.
After searching for her in the nearby woods she found the horse again.
A local hunter found the pair. He saw the mare move like a rabid beast, staggering and thrashing about while Eira tried to calm her to no avail. Then, without warning, the beast had turned upon her.
The hunter ran off before he could see what exactly happened to Eira.
Eira was later found grievously wounded not far from where she was last seen, rescued by her sister Sigrid.
Not long after she was rescued, Sigrid had been nervous, she decided to once again check on Eira to see if she had finally woken up. When Sigrid entered, she saw Eira, slumped. Eira slowly turned to look at Sigrid. Her features were horrifying, her mouth torn up like she was chewing something she shouldn't have, her skin pale and wrong and she could just barely make out the vacant expression in her sister's eyes.
