Where this book sits

The Contract Witch is a standalone, and it’s the earliest story in the Nemeton Universe timeline. You don’t need to have read anything else — this is a good place to start.

It runs from 2004 to 2006, in the Louisiana bayou, which means it straddles the Declaration: the moment supernaturals stopped hiding and the world found out what had been living beside it. Every other book in this universe takes place after that line. This one begins before it.

A note on content

This is an adult romance about a woman who spent ten years unable to say no, and about a man who never understood that was the situation. It’s a love story, and it earns its ending — but it goes through some dark ground to get there.
