Summary

Saya Merritt should feel safe now. She escaped Emilio Bellandi. His house. His rules. His obsession. She escaped him. But Emilio doesn't follow. He doesn't threaten her. He doesn't drag her back. He simply lets her go, as though months of captivity meant nothing to him. His silence should be a relief. Instead, it consumes her. Then Saya discovers Dahlia Kurosawa. A name buried beneath years of Emilio's life. A woman whose belongings still linger in his home, whose presence seems woven into places Saya thought belonged only to her and Emilio. The woman who came before her. Saya tells herself she only wants answers. She needs to understand what happened to Dahlia—and what loving Emilio Bellandi cost the woman who had him first. But curiosity becomes fixation. Fear begins to resemble longing. And the longer Emilio stays away, the more Saya begins to wonder why the man she fought so desperately to escape isn't coming for her. Some doors should stay locked. Some women should stay buried. And some kinds of love don't end just because you run.

Authors Note

Hi, loves! 🖤

Welcome to The Woman Before Me.

Just a quick warning before we dive into the chaos: this is a dark romance featuring obsession, captivity, toxic relationships, jealousy, manipulation, explicit sexual content, and other mature themes. Everything may not be everyone's cup of tea, so please read with your own comfort in mind.

Most importantly, this is fiction. Some things are hot on a page and deserve a restraining order in real life. 😂

Thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoy trying to figure out what the hell is going on with Saya and Emilio.

Happy reading. 🖤
