Act 1: Judgment Day
Darren’s bald head sparkled with unshakable determination as he readied his fists to the air in preparation for the oncoming fight.
This was the grand final. The deciding fight of who would become the penultimate Darren.
Would Darren prove himself? Or would he fall at the hands of the other.
The crowd held their breaths in anticipation.
Darren’s head beaded with sweat that ran down his cheeks, making his muscles shine in the spotlight.
The announcer rings his bell in time, and the fight begins, hard and rough. Darren goes for the ribs of Darren and kicks him in the shins, then he delivers the final blow, a bloating uppercut that sends Darren flying back into the ring.
The crowd goes wild with whistles and cheers, chanting Darren’s name in unison, igniting a passion within Darren to keep going. He gets up from the ground and strikes back against Darren, soccer punching him in the jaw with wild force that makes Darren yelp in pain.
The crowd boos at Darren for knocking the other down, but he is undeterred in his actions.
The fight continues until the final bell is called, both Darren’s are now drenched in blood, sweat and tears, flowing in the passion of sports. They step away and catch their breaths, waiting for the results of their fight.
The announcer looks in between them with astonishment, this could be anyone’s game. His eyes finally land to the left as he approaches Darren and lifts his hand in the air. “DARREN IS THE WINNER OF THE GRAND FINAL OF THIS BOXING TOURNAMENT!”
The crowd screams Darren’s name, clapping and clattering together as he is handed the champion belt, marking him as the alpha Darren. He howls to the audience in domination, and jumps over the rails to surf the crowd, leaving the omega Darren to weep on the stage in defeat and despair.

Later, Darren was waiting at the bus stop for his 4:20pm bus back to Taralgon. The stench of defeat wafting off his burly form. Then suddenly, Darren felt a stern grasp upon his shoulder, he looked up and his surprise he was face to face with the Alpha Darren grinning with delight at the Omega Darren’s pitiful display of despair.
The Alpha Darren leaned close, close enough that their lips could touch, and instead of meeting for a kiss, he coughs a sickeningly dry cough upon Darren’s face, and squishes Darren’s supple cheeks like a man would to his dog.
“It seems fate has brought us to this bus stop, buddy. Prepare for a long ride.”
Then Darren snarls as he lets go of Darren and steps onto the bus first, showing his alpha status. The other Darren whimpers behind him as he follows like the little good boy he is.
Alpha Darren made his way to the back on the bus, stretching his legs out so that nobody could sit next to him. He glared at Omega Darren as he made his approach, making him flinch and retreat back to the front of the bus.
The bus ride was long and gruelling, all Omega Darren could think about was what his wife, Darrenette, would think when he returned emptyhanded. She had already been threatening a divorce if he kept wasting her money on stupid sports like boxing, now he would only be proving to her how little boxing was worth, and he would surely be kicked out onto the streets with nobody to love him, not even his dog, Darren, would love him after this.
He had to think fast, as the bus was quickly approaching his stop. Maybe he could steal the belt from Alpha Darren, but he would surely be caught out on his lie when the results of the tournament were published tonight at 6:00pm.
He had no other choice but to admit his failures and face the consequences.
He could only hope that Darrenette would understand. Or else. He would be done for!
