Los Angeles
December
"Leon...please...Let me go!"
A man bleeding from his abdomen, crawls backwards, trying to back away from the man before him who had harmed him brutally.
" I have a family for fuck's sake, I'll do anything to let me get out of this shit!", the guy yelled in distress, only for the man named Leon to coldly narrow his eyes.
"And you smeared death on mine, you're paying for all of the bullshit you've done...", Leon grips his gun tighter, about to kill him in any moment.
"She wasn't even yours, neither is that child of hers!",the man responded, hollering in a shaky tone.
Leon aims the gun at his forehead,"You don't talk shit about my daughter, you son of a bitch!", Leon raised his voice in rage.
The other man scoffed without remorse, despite his vulnerable position.
"You know what I'm capable of, Leon Cashmere!"
The man grinned maliciously, he chuckled.
"I took everything from you, hahaha! And here you are, chasing me like a dog..."
"And you know what I'm capable of?", Leon questioned.
The injured man's face dropped into immediate fear in an instant.
Bang!
A shot rang out, the man collapsed on the floor since the bullet was implanted on his head, killing him instantly.
Clouds started to whine, pouring down their tears, causing rain to happen.
The blood trail was swept away as the rain rows down the sewer.
Leon look at his own achievement with satisfaction and...emptiness.
But nobody could know why.
He heard footsteps from someone behind him, it was his seccond in command, Andrew, with an umbrella to cover himself from the harsh rain.
"Sir Cashmere, we have to go...", he pleaded, putting the umbrella over Leon from getting himself more soaked than he already was.
"Then lead the way."
"Yes, Sir Cashmere."
He followed him to his car, Andrew opened the car door for him.
"After you, Sir Cashmere...", he spoke, letting him get inside before he closed the door.
Andrew finally walked away to get on another car, leaving his boss by himself.
Or at least with his own personal driver, Alvarez.
"A towel, Alvarez...", he commanded, Alvarez gets a towel from the passenger seat and passes it to him.
"Thank you...", he said, drying his hair. Leon looked out the window, though all he could see was fog and water droplets roll down the window.
That freaking swine had it coming.
And now...he was gone.
Just like that.
As he slowly drifted out of his thoughts, he pulled out his cell phone to look at any missed messages or phone calls.
He had a few missing texts from Michelle, her daughter's babysitter.
"Sir Cashmere, Zoey has been crying nonstop for you, she's been saying that her father is gone.".
He read, letting out a worried, deep sigh.
His daughter always worried about him.
Which made him worry too.
" Tell her I'm on my way...", he replied, and sent the message before he checked his contacts.
As he checked his contacts, he realized he had a few missing calls and a text that read....

9:38 PM
Got a surpise tomorrow see you then π«£
Leon turned off his cell phone, he didn't bother to call to see what they meant.
He just hoped it wasn't some bullshit.
As his driver pulled through the busy streets of the city, he thought of the upcoming holidays.
He never celebrated Christmas.
Mainly since Slavic culture didn't celebrate Christmas, only New Years'.
But regardless...it didn't mean he had an easy childhood growing up to celebrate holidays either.
Holidays was just another day in life for him.
Not a place for family gatherings, nor spending time or bonding closely to appreciate one another deeply and thoughtfully.
But now, he had a little girl. A beautiful daughter.
His ethereal gift from above.
And he knew she would love to share some wonderful memories with him and bond together as a family.
And that made him so happy.
"We're here, Sir Cashmere", Alvarez blurted out, looking back at him as they made it past the gates of his home.
He got off to open the door for him, letting his boss get out of the car
Fixing his cuffs of the dripping, wet shirt he's wearing, Leon looks down his clothing to make there's no blood stains that can scare his daughter away.
He hoped to never scare his own beloved daughter away.
"You're dimissed, have a good night", Leon told Alvarez, only for his driver to gesture him thumbs up in return.
Β°~12:02 AM~Β°
He opened the main door to his palatial, opulent warm, daffodil mansion.
Being met with the vintage, intricate yet regal decorated walls, he took off the soaked, wet shoes off his feet.
Hearing absolutely stillness.
It felt as if no one ever lived in his home, despite his 20 servants, housekeepers, guards and his daughter being throughout his place.
As he held his shoes to place them somewhere to dry, he heard a gasp from behind, before it finally spoke.
"Good evening, Sir Cashmere, are you alright? Do you need a towel or anything? Help you with your coat?"
"No need for a towel, ma'am. I have one already."
Leon nodded in response, his eyes coolly glancing her way.
"That towel is damp, Sir Cashmere. Here you go...", she handed a clean, soft towel to him, grabbing it from her cart full of clean, dry linen.
As she grabbed the soaked one in return, she excused herself before continuing to go her way.
He finally made his way to his bedroom door, glancing down at its doorknob before turning it, letting himself inside.
His room was organized, his bed was made, the floor was sparkling clean...
As expected.
He let out a deep sigh as he removed his coat off, being tired of everything he's done.
Not that he regretted killing that rabid monster of hell.
After freshening up, he changed himself into a fitted black long sleeve and loose, comfortable cotton gray sweatpants.
Cotton was much better than silk in his opinion.
As he approached one of the lounge rooms, he could see one of the servants opening the door for him to enter inside.
"Thank you, gentleman...", he said to the servant, formally.
A small girl with curly, fluffy hair, light brown doe eyes, in satin pink pijamas immediately ran towards his direction.
"Dad!", she cried, her puffy red eyes gave Leon a sign she'd been crying for a while.
"Sweetie! Why have you been crying, my love? You're supposed to be in bed by now, it's midnight, my darling."
He spoke to her in a soothing tone, as he crouched down to meet her level.
He hugged her tightly as she hugged him first, how cruel of him to let her heart ache like this.
May the lord above him forgive him for such sin.
"Are you okay, Dad? I just get scared when you're not at home...", Zoey sniffled, wiping her tears with her little hands.
She's the only miracle that Leon cherishes everyday.
Without her, he would have been lost in the darkest trails of sin a long time ago.
"I'm okay, my sweet. I'm okay. Just know when I'm out there at night, I will always make it home to you, my little dove."
He picked her up to carry her in his arms to take her to bed, only to notice a girl with brown hair in a loose braid looking his way.
"Have a good night, Sir Cashmere."
"You too, Fiona."
He replied in return, before finally making all of his way to his daughter's room to tuck his princess in to a good night's sleep.
Β°~1:38 AM~Β°
He fell into the bed, exhausted from all the shit he'd gone through.
Yet restless at the thought that his own demons were consuming him alive.
He remembered who he is, a villain.
Like everybody else around him.
He rips hearts out of people's chest and puts bullets through people's skulls for a living.
That's where a good amount of his money came from...
Being an assassin.
His trained skill is what got him a good amount of fame around the streets and even among other higher ranking groups within the world he lived in.
Yet with being trained to kill, fate will always come around to take him out dead.
And sometimes...fate would try to manipulate by taking those a person cares about in order to make them submit to them.
And that's exactly what fate did to Leon.
He did it all for that one person he actually cared about...
He loved.
He adored with every single fragment of his heart, every drop of his blood, and every essence of his soul.
A girl whom he loved with all of his heart.
She helped him bring himself back up after many open wounds he had, she took care of them.
While she hurt in every way herself.
And in return, he did the same.
He fell to his knees every encounter, she was like a statue of infinite worship to him.
She had a bright, confident smile, her presence was always tense yet radiant.
She always left her presence known in every place she went and left in.
Always going out with a bang.
H
er brown, cunning eyes, her hazelnut, elegant hair, she was a woman who never bowed down to anyone.
Yet she would always protect everyone who followed her, cared for her.
She was the queen of his empire, and he as king would kiss her feet in front of their peasants...
All to show the deep sated adoration he had for her.
He loved her for being herself, how loyal and truthful she was.
They would spend time together in private, telling each other secrets no one else had to know, just between them.
The girl he's thinking about, she's not with him anymore.
She had died trying to protect him from a bullet that was clearly meant for him.
She didn't deserve the worst ending to her life...
That bullet was meant for him.
Yet, with all of her might, she took it for him, seeing how she waved her hands in the air out of panic, only for her to stop short as she realized she had been shot...
In the end, she always went out with a bang.
But not the one she deserved.
In the end...
The only thing he had from his beloved was his lovely daughter, Zoey.
A child she had kept hidden from him until her dying words.
Please love her as much as you loved me..."
It was no easy feat for him after her death, having gone through a lot of steps to where he was today.
But as he realized his beloved's dying wish was for him to take responsibility of his daughter, he had to.
And he would never regret accomplish it.
Yet, it still hurt. It still stung.
Having her so stuck in his shattered heart, knowing she won't be able to come back to soothe him and tell him it was going to be okay.
She had been the only to properly comfort him throughout his entire life when he was vulnerable.
And now, he had nobody to speak his dwelling to.
He wiped his tears falling from his face with his hands, remembering the event vividly as it was yesterday.
"Till death do us part...", he mumbled, in a shaky voice.
He sobbed silently in grief, where no one could hear him, until his mind drifted himself off to sleep.
