Tell me, Street Lamp.

Tell me, Street Lamp;

If there were no fog, would we know the value of the moon?

If there were no pain, could we truly feel happiness?

If there were no captivity, could we ever reach freedom?

And if there were no darkness, would we even notice the light?

(Original)

Söylesene Sokak Lambası;

Sis olmasaydı, bilebilir miydik aydedenin kıymetini?

Acı olmasaydı, hissedebilir miydik mutluluğu?

Tutsaklık olmasaydı, kavuşabilir miydik özgürlüğe?

Peki ya karanlık olmasaydı, farkına varabilir miydik aydınlığın?

Evtida: It was a very sweet story, but it felt rushed. It didn't really convey the emotions. For example, when the girl was kidnapped, instead of panicking, going crazy, and causing a scene, giving in felt strange... His exaggerated relationship with his gay friend was also odd in my opinion.

Theresa: Very well written. Scary part is that girls and boys are indeed even today sold for sex.The ones who save them don't get enough credit for their bravery.

Alta: So fun to read. Loved the characters.I could picture the scenes so well. Quirky, funny and heartwarming. Having been to NYC before (many, many years ago) I saw in my minds eye the story play out. Even smelled the city. Thank you for taking me on a trip down memory lane.
