Authors Note
Welcome all to Daughters of the End.
This story is broken into four parts; Rory, The Hunters of Artemis, The Book of Eve and Devyn.
Part One- Rory, follows seventeen year old Rory and her best friend Devyn living under military rule in their old high school after the zombie apocalypse starts. All her decisions are based on one thing: keeping Devyn safe. But despite her best efforts, she is unable to. This part has blood, gore, murder and queer slurs (dyke and fag) and threats of sexual assault.
Part Two- The Hunters of Artemis, continues to follow Rory as she searches for Devyn while also figuring out who she is as a person. Rory goes a little crazy in this part in her search for Devyn. She also makes several questionable decisions, including joining an all girls army, sleeping with a man she kind of hates and a girl that she kind of loves (not at the same time) and having a baby during the apocalypse. This part has blood, gore, murder, thoughts of abortion, sex (both f/f and f/m) and a brief descriptive daycare slaughterhouse scene.
Part Three- The Book of Eve, follows seventeen year old Devyn starting at the end of part one. She is "rescued" by a cult, forced to marry the leader and be the mother of a new humanity. Eventually she does escape and make her way back to Rory who, once again, will risk everything to keep her safe from the cult. This part has kidnapping, rape, torture, brainwashing, implied infant death and mass murder.
Part Four- Devyn, follows both girls trying to piece their lives back together in the aftermath of part three. They will learn to live together, learn what the years have done to each other and how to help each other heal from it as they raise their kids together. There will not be much action (war, killing or zombies) in this part. It will just be about the girls and the life they are making together.
Both girls survive to the end and the end will be a relatively happy one.
This story is intended for mature readers and deals with dark, often disturbing and graphic themes.
