The Girl He Never Knew

It was my first day of 11th standard.

I was completely desperate about everything.

New school. New faces. New people. New atmosphere.

Everything was unfamiliar.

I had to travel one and a half hours every day from my home to school by our school bus.

And I wore a black mask every time.

I liked staying mysterious and unknown.

I didn't know anyone.

And nobody knew me.

It was just another beginning in a completely new place.

Until one day, at one particular stop, a guy got into the bus.

He was wearing a white shirt.

The first two buttons were open.

The first thing I saw was his chest.

Then, slowly, I looked at his face.

He was wearing a black mask too.

But his eyes...

His eyes were just something.

Attractive.

Mesmerizing.

He had a cool hairstyle and beautiful accessories.

And he was tall.

Six feet, maybe.

I don't know what exactly I felt at that moment.

I don't know whether it was attraction, love at first sight, or whatever it was.

I just knew one thing.

I had a thing for him.

And somehow, without even knowing his name, he gave me a new hope of coming to school every day.

Just to see him.
