Chapter 1 — The Love That Promised Forever ❤️

Chapter 1 — The Love That Promised Forever ❤️

It was the year 2000.

A young man stood anxiously near the gates with his two friends. All three of them kept glancing toward the enormous house in front of them, their nervousness growing with every passing minute.

Daniel looked at Adrian and whispered, “Are you really sure Elena will leave everything behind and come out for you?”

Adrian gave him a confident smile.“I believe in her. And I believe in our love.”

Marcus glanced at his watch and sighed, “Adrian, it’s already midnight. You said Elena would come out at eleven.”

Daniel nodded nervously. “Maybe we should forget the plan and leave before we get caught.”

Before Adrian could answer, the massive gates suddenly opened.

Elena stepped outside.

A wave of relief washed over Adrian's face.

“See?” he said with a smile. “I told you both. She would come for me.”

He took a step toward her, but suddenly stopped.

Someone was walking behind Elena.

Adrian's smile disappeared.

It was Elena's father, Edward.

The moment Daniel and Marcus saw him, panic took over. They immediately ducked behind a nearby car, leaving Adrian standing alone.

Adrian swallowed hard.He was terrified, but he refused to run.

Taking a deep breath, he walked past Elena and stopped in front of Edward.

Then, to everyone's surprise, Adrian dropped to his knees.

“Uncle, please give us your blessing,” he pleaded. “I truly love Elena, and I want to marry her. I promise I'll build a happy life with her. I don't want your money, your property, or anything from you. All I want is Elena.”

Tears filled Elena's eyes.

She walked toward them and knelt beside Adrian.

“My dad has agreed to our marriage,” she said softly. “So let's get married and live happily ever after.”

Adrian looked up at Edward, his eyes filled with emotion.

Edward stared at him for a long moment before finally speaking.“Then remember one thing. Make sure my daughter is happy. If I ever see her crying because of you, I will make you regret it.”

Adrian nodded immediately.“I promise, Uncle.”

Edward gave them one final look before turning away.

Adrian rose to his feet and pulled Elena into his arms.

They hugged tightly, both crying tears of happiness.

For the first time, they felt that nothing could stand between them.

A few days later, Elena and Adrian's wedding was celebrated grandly at a beautiful church.

Adrian's parents, Richard and Catherine, were not pleased with their son's decision. They had wanted a different future for him, but seeing how deeply he loved Elena, they eventually accepted the marriage for his happiness.

Adrian's elder sister, Ingrid, was completely different. She genuinely liked Elena and was thrilled to welcome her into the family.

Ingrid had already been married to Adrian's close friend, Daniel, for two years, making Daniel a part of the family as well.

Elena had grown up without a mother. She was Edward's only daughter and the sole heir to his enormous business empire. As the richest businessman in town, Edward had always treated his daughter like his precious little princess.

Now, however, Elena had chosen a life of her own.

She and Adrian had been in love for five years. After overcoming countless struggles and fighting for their relationship, they finally became husband and wife at the age of twenty-three.

That night, as they began their new life together, they believed their love story would last forever.

Neither of them knew that the years ahead would test that love in ways they could never imagine.
