The Space Between Two Desks

They are classmates.

Nothing more.

Angel and Naitik barely talk, barely notice each other, and definitely aren't friends.

Until one ordinary school year starts changing things.

Between three rows of benches, stolen glances, chaotic friends, endless classes, coaching sessions, exams, and the pressure of being a teenager, something slowly begins to shift.

Angel has already spent a year fighting her own battles.

Naitik seems to be starting his.

And while everyone thinks he's the chill, carefree guy, Angel begins noticing the things nobody else does—the tired eyes, the silence, the pressure, and the distance.

Maybe she can't fix him.

Maybe she isn't supposed to.

But sometimes, having someone simply notice you is enough to make you feel a little less alone.

Because they were only classmates.

Until they weren't.
