Summary

In the Summer of 1980, a Summer camp decides to go camping near a swamp. But they are told by an old fisherman not to set foot in, nor go anywhere near the swamp itself, as there is a deadly history behind it. While most of them take his warning with a grain of salt, one of the counselors takes it into consideration. Attempting to dig deeper into the mystery of the forbidden swamp, she runs into a fisherman who has isolated himself since the horrific death of his daughter.

Prologue

It was the Summer of 1972. It was nighttime and the moon was invisible, making it almost pitch black outside. But in just a few seconds, a car arrived and beamed its headlights at a sign. The latter read as follows: KEEP OUT.

Exiting the car itself were two youths, a boy and a girl. Both of them looked to be between ages 15-17.

“What time is it?” the girl asked while standing beside the passenger side of the car.

“I’m not sure,” the boy answered while standing beside the driver’s side. He held up his left wrist and looked down at it. “Luckily I have my watch, but I can’t really see it.” He then walked in front of the car towards the headlights. Holding up his wrist again, he managed to get a better look at his watch. “It’s, uh, 10:45.”

“Oh, shit,” the girl exclaimed in a soft-spoken tone.

“What?” the boy asked. He looked at the girl with confusion; but for obvious reasons, she couldn’t tell.

“I’m not usually out this late, it’s past my curfew.”

The boy shrugged at her. “Who the hell cares?”

“I’ll tell you who, my father!”

“And where is he?”

Roxx@n: It was longer, it was a really good read. I enjoyed it a lot. Wanted to see if Carlos became a great dad and he Grayson his friend out loud. He's rather closed off so a lil broader back story would be nice. And yes the wedding and twins announcement. A girl can hope right?
