Her name is Elena Hart. She is twenty-four years old and comes from a family that struggles financially. As the eldest daughter, Elena took on the responsibility of caring for her family after her father’s death. She constantly works hard to keep her mother and siblings happy—so much that she often forgets to take care of herself.

Mariam Hart — 44 years old

Mariam is Elena’s mother. After losing her husband, she has no job and struggles alongside her children to keep their family together.

Ethan Hart — 20 years old

Ethan is Elena’s younger brother. He always tries to help his sister whenever he can. He is hardworking, calm, and caring.

Lucas Hart and Sofia Hart are the youngest children in the family.

The Harts are a loving and happy family who are grateful for the little things they have.

Before their father passed away, their lives had been peaceful. But after his death, everything changed. Elena left university so she could provide for her family. During the day, she worked at a restaurant, and at night, she taught languages to children.

Elena lowered her head, disappointed, and walked away. She spent the entire day working harder than usual.

Later, as Amelia was walking past the women's restroom, she heard a girl's voice coming from inside.

GIRL: Please... I need help!

Amelia entered the restroom and heard the girl asking for help.

Instead of helping her, Amelia simply rolled her eyes.

AMELIA: Why didn't you take better care of yourself in the first place?

She walked away, ignoring the girl's cries.

Hours later, Elena needed to use the restroom. When she entered, she heard the same girl still calling for help.

Elena immediately went toward her.

She helped the girl, and the girl was extremely grateful.

As time passed, evening arrived. Elena prepared herself for her second job when Noah came to see her.

NOAH: Elena, sweetheart, how was your day?

ELENA: It was exhausting.

From a distance, Amelia watched them with an unreadable expression.

NOAH: Elena, I need you to spend tonight with me. Please cancel your second job. We hardly ever get time to talk because you're always working. Just stay with me tonight.

ELENA: No, Noah. You know why I can't do that. We'll spend time together on our days off. Right now, I have to go.

NOAH: You always refuse to make time for me. Then what am I to you?

ELENA: I've already told you. I can't leave my job, and you know how important you are to me. We'll talk again later. Amelia, could you go ahead? I'll take a taxi.

NOAH: Alright, sweetheart. I understand. Take care of yourself.

He hugged her before leaving.

Elena got into a taxi, completely exhausted. As she stared out the window, all she could think about was when she would finally return home and sleep peacefully in her mother's arms.

After a long time, Elena finally arrived home.
