PROLOGUE : 2078
2078.
The world had changed.
Cities stretched higher than ever before. Machines moved among humans as if they had always belonged there. Artificial intelligence was no longer something people wondered about—it was something they depended on.
Technology had solved problems humanity once believed were impossible to solve.
Security had become nearly untouchable.
Information had become priceless.
And money had become more powerful than ever.
Humanity called it progress.
But progress had its price.
Somewhere between becoming more advanced and becoming more dependent, the world had begun to forget what it had once valued.
Nobody noticed.
Nobody cared.
Life simply continued.
Until something happened that would make people question one simple thing:
Was the future really better than the past?
And perhaps, decades from now, the answer would be found in a place nobody expected.
This is 2078.
This is the beginning.
