1- Get Off My Wife

“Get off my wife.”

I heard the door bursting apart before his angry voice, but of course, I tried to block it all away as I reached backwards and pulled Adrian’s head forward. “Focus on only me, okay? I’m the one that wants to orgasm. He can wait his turn like the good boy I’ll assume he is.”

Adrian, as any other Beta would be, was uncomfortable by the sudden entrance.

He, like the others, was not used to Killian acknowledging our little trysts. “Is he… is he okay?”

“Mhm,” I hummed softly. I couldn’t help the big smile on my face as I stared at the one man who had spent three years ignoring me but was now looking so feral and angry, and chuckled. “It’s sort of cute, don’t you think—”

Killian moved.

It was fast, too fast— but luckily for me, I had an Alpha elder brother who found it funny to chase me down a lot when we were kids so I was able to step in front of him, shielding Adrian. “Stop it.”

Killian’s eyes don’t leave Adrian. If anything, they grow with more contempt at the innocent man before they landed down on me. “Where is your decency, Rosalind?”

I shrugged. “I don’t have to be decent in my wing, because remember, it is my wing, where we both agreed you should not be.”

“But one of your lovers after…” his voice trailed. Killian Veyr, who was always so cold and emotionless, seemed to be at a loss of words about the fascinating affair that occurred the week before.

I moved my hand in the air to speed things along. “After… we fucked?”

Disgust crossed his features as he moved away. “You don’t need to be so crass.” His eyes flew to Adrian who was still standing behind me. “And you. Get out.”

I crossed my arms. “No, Adrian. Stay.”

His gold eyes flashed to me. I recognized it. It was the same ‘why can’t you just shrivel up and die or something?’ Look he always gave me when I was younger till the day of our wedding.

A shiver of satisfaction ran down my spine at that look. I’d missed it, honestly. The pure, undiluted fury that made his jaw tighten and his nostrils flare. It was the most alive I’d seen him in years.

“Adrian,” I said, not breaking eye contact with my husband, “be a dear and get me a glass of water from the kitchen. Take your time if need be. My throat’s a little dry from all that... screaming.”

Adrian’s voice came softly behind me. “Do you… need me to stay? Or call for help?”

A Beta couldn’t fight an Alpha, and I, an albeit sexy omega would also be useless. But at least, I was a sexy omega with an older brother that a certain someone respected far too much. “Yes. If you hear me scream, call my brother. You have him on speed dial as I told you, yes?”

Killian’s eyes shifted. From fury to the same emotion he’d barely hidden his entire life. Desire mixed with longing— and now fear, that my brother would come and see me if all people were in a state of pain.

Because of him.

Adrian gave me a kiss on the cheek, his eyes fixed on Killian’s as he pulled back. “I’ll be right outside the door,” he murmured, loud enough for the Alpha to hear. “With the phone in my hand.”

Then he was gone.

I walked towards Killian, watching his disgust turn to discomfort as he raised his arm over his nose, shielding himself from me. “You are naked. And… clean yourself.”

“Yes. It’s my wing,” I said deadpan. “And no, I won’t.”

My husband couldn’t stand my scent.

I was made to understand that I wasn’t special in that regard. He couldn’t stand Omegas at all, which was fascinating because he was supposed to find me, a Rare Omega, exceptionally attractive as a Dominant Alpha.

But our attention to marriage had been a whole game of ‘this should work’ that clearly didn’t work.

Killian stood in the doorway, chest heaving, his expensive suit jacket still so perfect even with his clear discomfort. “Please.”

I moved— why, I didn’t know— but I picked up the hundred and one lingeries spread across the room and put it on, my eyes resting on him. “You should have come with your neutralizing spray bottles. Do you want mine?”

He looked slightly confused. “You have one?”

“Yes.” I sprayed one consistently whenever we had to attend an event together for his sake, but naturally, he didn’t notice it. “Want it?”

“No.”

Of course. It already had my Omega scent all over it. I sat on my chaise lounge and did a pose that would entice anyone in the world but the man in front of me. “What may I do for you, dear Husband?”

Killian’s jaw worked, a muscle twitching beneath the sharp line of his cheekbone.

He took a step into the room, then stopped, as if the very air was toxic. His hands, usually so still and controlled, curled into fists at his sides. “Did you… did we—?”

“Yes.” I cut in.

His scent filled the room tinted with disbelief. “Are you sure—?”

“You have a tattoo of a crescent moon on your left hip. Three small stars beneath it.” I sighed and sat up. “To be honest, this was far more boring than I thought it’d be so my patience to handle it has vanished. You can get out and bring Adrian back in. I was almost about to climax.”

“Can you—” The same familiar irritation flared but when I raised an eyebrow, it settled and he looked away, his jaw clenching so hard I was sure he cracked his teeth. “Tell me what happened. All I can remember is the gala, then we returned. And nothing.”

I shouldn’t be angry.

Killian Veyr meant nothing to me and I to him, he made that very clear.

But he remembered nothing while I was stuck with the memory of the best sex I’d ever had in my entire life? “You’re such an asshole.”

“Rosalind, please—”

“You’re the one who sought me out.” I wanted this conversation over and done with as soon as possible. “You stumbled in here drunk, claiming that I had hurt your feelings so badly, and when I tried to send you back, you pinned me to the wall and well…”

His eyes filled with slight panic. “Well?”

I crossed my legs. “Called me Roman.”

Roman was my elder brother.

And to anyone who was close to the both of them, which seemed to be only me, Killian’s first and only love.
