Chapter 1
In Oberyn Starwend’s faye realm—or rather, the outskirts of it—we follow Cassian and Rox.
Cassian isn’t happy about being in this realm, but he has no choice.
He must find Rox.
Unfortunately, Mist has other plans.
She wants to keep running, and she has no intention of slowing down anytime soon—especially not when she can drag Rox along with her.
Cassian has a mission.
Mist has an escape plan.
And Rox?
Well… she’s caught right in the middle of it.
Brace yourselves.

Long ago, in the hidden folds of the Aero Realm, lived the Aerithis—
a race of breathtaking, winged beings.
Their feathers shimmered like woven moonlight, their strength unmatched, their speed legendary.
And if one carried royal blood, they possessed a rare and sacred power: the gift of the elements.
Among them stood the most powerful of all—
King Aleron Windharrow, ruler of sky and storm.
To be born a Windharrow was to be born with mastery over every element.
People whispered that if the king’s temper ever flared, he could summon lightning with a single sweep of his wings or call thunder to bow at his command.
But the king was not feared.
He was loved—especially now, with his new heir.
The Windharrow palace, nestled in the highest branches of the ancient forest trees, echoed with joy at the birth of Prince Clodan Windharrow.
The infant’s feathers—soft, silver-edged, and tipped with dusk-blue—already hinted at the power that would one day awaken in him.
The Aerithis lived in harmony
Those with strong wings dwelled among the towering treetop homes, while those who could not fly or had lost their wings, lived on the forest floor, close to the rivers and roots.
