The first step
An alarm rings as John opens his eyes ,already tiered of what the day has to offer , he gets up and moves to prepare himself for work . He sits down alone at his table ,he wonders if he can call in sick for work that day but he remember the big project back at the company.He gets up and goes out. On the subway he sees a colleague from work (Angel)and moves to sit next to her, she greets him and he replies in kind .He asks of how she’s been since finding out about latest big project ,she says “not good at all the boss is will have us working in overtime for awhile” John says yh it’s going to be a stressful week for all of us .
John is done with work for the day he invites Angel over for dinner to reduce the strain from work that day, she joyfully agrees on the way John ask her if she lives and the same place he remembers he wants see her , after all the work is done, she say yh she moved to another location because iof work so she will send him the location though text .They reach their stop ,and move to the restaurant on the way Angel and John keep on conversing ,at the restaurant John and Angel both order their food with John waiting Angel looks directly at him as if waiting for him to say something,John notices and looks back at her confused asking why she staring at him so intensely ,she replies with it nothing I was just spaced out ,then the food arrives .After the meal they head out , continuing their conversation without paying attention to their surroundings he falls on the road while Angel hepls him up a car speeds by hitting the two with John looking back at Angel as they both bleed out on the road holding each other’s hand as their only form of comfort before their end.
John thinks to himself that this is how his life ended shocking isn’t it ,John realizes that he can still think and that wasn’t his voice so open his eyes surprised to be a room without any injuries.He calls out to Angel asking if she can hear him , getting no reply he continues to call out for help without an answer he sits down looking back at himself and his life,sad at all the time he wasted and all the people he didn’t say goodbye too , he wished he experienced love and hears so what was Angel to you a friend a close one at that ,not knowing what else to do he sods about him not seeing, then he is cut off as he feels something on his shoulder a hand , he was shocked to the bone thinking he was the only one in the room.
John stands up surprised at what stood behind him , a human like figure completely white with a dark shadow around it with the it’s only notable facial features being its mouth ,it speaks confirming it had been the one he heard at the beginning.It continues giving a greeting to John ,as he stands there still in hass wondering to himself if this is God , the being replies to his thoughts saying no ,at least not of your world.It claims to have been watching over his life and offers him the chance to resurrect or be reborn,John ask it if his friends and family are all right ,the being smiles at him saying you’re dead and the first thing you think about is friends , forget about them centuries have passed since your death they to have died , John is saddened by the thought of his own friends and family being dead.The being says to him don’t worry that’s why I offered this once in an eternity opportunity, John ask if they are any other options, it says yes but you won’t be human anymore,he ask why it says it either you become human again or be a Zenith, what are Zeniths he asked ,the being said they are a strong species you will find out if you choose to become one . John says yes asking to become a zenith,the being confirmed his choice, John falls as he lose consciousness.
He wakes up to find himself as a child with a tall figure in front of him who picks him up and send him to what looked like a house , the figure who picked him up goes to another room and another child a little older than him come around and it tries to talk to him without him understanding he observes the child in front of him and he realizes it has wings , he remembers he would no longer be human and accepts his fate , fast forward 15 years later he’s grown up and is he school with other Zeniths (Zeniths have a lot of unique features from some having small to major differences from each other but still look like humans) the zenith’s have a huge problem they are constantly being hunted by other races foreign to their home world, the reason why they are being hunted is still unknown but they have their own form defense being abilities the species believe they obtain from their gods . For such advanced species they still cling on to their premitive beliefs,not saying it’s false . John is tapped on the shoulder and is told classes are over and as he and his friends walk home together they it meteors falling from the sky .
