The Two Sided Mirror
I want to come to you
I am begging to come to you
I want to be held
I want to be a part of something great
But I am scared
What do I do, Lord
The pastor said it is my last
I go to your house
But I am told horror stories
Jesus, you are the comfort I need
But the church is dark
What should or who should I become
I want to be saved
But the ones who are look like me
I cry
I shout
I praise
But is it enough
When you make a simple mistake
And is shunned and put down
But is it enough
When my enemies are stronger than I thought
But is it enough when I can’t turn the other cheek
I go to the house, Lord
They are not in one accord
I want to be saved
But the leaders are fake
Should I stay home
Or should I go home
I know they are children of God
But why do they scare me
And not uplift me
Which is more important
The jewelry or being the salt of the world
We live in a world of confusion
With many denominations
But aren’t we brothers and sisters of one nation
But is it enough to sing songs of you
And songs of him
But is it enough when the burden of our mistakes
Is the root of gossip
What should I do
When those of the church do not reflect you!
