An Old Neem Tree
A tree who has been here
For ages
Holds the memories of gone
Who looked happily at it
Who felt delighted to see it grow
Who wasn’t ready to go
Who expected to return to this tree
An old Neem tree it is
With absorbed reflections in its leaves
I often look at it
And get lost in another world
Oh, the wind flowing through my hair
Takes me away from mundanity
And my mind gets a reset
And I don’t feel quite upset
I can contemplate the tree forever
An old neem tree it is
With absorbed reflections in its leaves
It provides the shade
To little meowers
The ones seeking for a cool place
Maybe, the cat is tired too
What if it also escapes the reality
What if it also seeks vitality
And it’s looking for peace
An old neem tree it is
With absorbed reflections in its leaves
