Summary
Henry has spent his life hunting monsters, protecting others, and expecting nothing for himself. Then a towering, six-horned demon from his past finds him again. Her name is Nola. She remembers the young knight who once saved her life, she has spent years searching for him—and she loves him with absolutely no hesitation. Henry has no idea what to do with that. As Nola follows him from one dangerous contract to the next, strange creatures begin moving north under an unknown influence. Between monster hunts, terrified townsfolk, guild politics, and one extremely affectionate demon, Henry slowly discovers that letting someone protect him may be harder than fighting any monster.
