Summary

MATTEO VALDEZ — The son of the greatest Mafia boss. Handsome. Hot. Lethal. He was literally a 10 out of 10, but he'd rather start a war than fall in love. Even the shadows feared him. With long legs, thin pink lips, a killer face, and an odd shade of grey in his eyes that seemed to glow under the sun, Matteo Valdez was anything but ordinary. He ran one of the most feared Mafia groups—the Fallen Angels—and these thunderstorms ruled Obsidian Hall College. Tell me, if this story has a prince, it surely has a princess. AVA ANDERSON — Newly admitted into Obsidian Hall College. A walking beauty. Every guy's dream girl. She had blue ocean eyes that could drown you if you stared too long. But behind those features of a princess was a girl who didn't accept shit. Even her parents had a hard time controlling her. But not until she met him. He twisted her heart. He controlled her. He broke her. And fucked her up so badly that she fell in love with sin itself. And she wasn't willing to be redeemed.

❀ Book One in the Unraveling Precision Series ❀

Chapter One

And there she was, Ava Anderson, walking into the towering and sky-piercing gates of Obsidian Hall College. Her black boots echoed across the paved floors. Her hair was tied up in a neat bun and her bag draped over her shoulder.

It was her first year in Obsidian Hall College. She had just gotten admitted, even if it was against her own will. Her parents had forced her into getting into the school, literally just because they were rich and almost all their friends' children were going here too.

She rolled her eyes at the thought. She couldn't even make her own decisions.

She pulled her luggage behind her, the tires hitting the paved floors roughly. She stopped right in front of her doom—Room 137—boldly written on the door.

She took a deep breath, pushing the door open. Silence followed the creaking of the door. It was empty, the scent of detergent lingering in the air.

She pushed herself in, choosing a bed right beside the window. She placed her luggage beside the closet, collapsing on the bed.

It still had that faint scent of floral detergent.

She closed her eyes, letting the silence drown her.

But just before she could feel comfortable, she heard that faint creaking of the door.

Her eyes flew open, darting towards the door.

Tabitha trotted towards her dorm. She knew she had a roommate; the draft said so.

She pushed open the door slowly, her eyes meeting with a pair of ocean-blue orbs.

She slowly walked in, closing the door behind her.

“Ummm, hi.” She waved.

“Hey,” Ava said, a bit cold.

“I’m Tabitha Stevens,” she said, walking towards her bed.

“I’m Ava,” she said, blinking.

“O-kay.”

Tabitha settled down.

Hours passed, and only the ticking of the wall clock could be heard.

Ava was lost in her own world, sprawled on her bed, headphones covering her ears as she sketched something on her sketchbook, occasionally sticking her tongue out while vibing to the song.

Meanwhile, Tabitha found herself enjoying Ava's presence as she wrote.

The air seemed peaceful but still carried a fearful aura, just like the calm before the storm.

And suddenly, they both heard screams, jolting them from their daydreams like it was time to face reality.

“What the heck?” Ava frowned, looking out the window with Tabitha behind her.

They could both see girls—a lot of girls. They were screaming and gushing, especially very loudly.

“What the fuck is this all about?” Ava could feel a headache coming.

“Ohhh shit,” Tabitha cursed.

“What?” Ava asked, irritated.

“It’s the Fallen Angels.”

Tabitha rolled her eyes.

“Huh? Who are the Fallen Angels?” Ava raised an eyebrow.

“Them.” Tabitha pointed through the tinted windows.

Ava looked slowly.

Her heart skipped a beat.

There he stood amidst chaos itself.

Her eyes darted towards the other guys. They had something in common—all a faint black tattoo on their necks. She was too far to know exactly what it was, but she could tell that his was a bit more unique.

But she couldn't place her hand on exactly what made it that way.

Suddenly, he stopped walking.

Huh? Why did he stop?

She thought when he looked up abruptly, his meeting hers.
