Chapter 1 — A Dream worth escaping for
Hi. I am Lumielle Vola. Apparently SINGLE. And thats right! I didn't have someone to share tiffin with, or text goodnight with.. And still I don't. Even the bench in my classroom had a partner, where I din't. Walking from hallways felt like a hell to me, because everyone were just too lovey-dovey. And please don't talk about my best friend, she was extremely busy making an "eye-contact" with her boyfriend than noticing how lonely I was!! Like how could she forgot the one who made her setting? The one who spied on her boyfriend with her. And the one —
Take a deep breath, Lumielle...
I would've drowned myself till now. But, the one who always stopped me from it was — Eero Koski. Ahh!! He was just too extraordinary for this world — and still he is. I mean who could even look this handsome, after playing basketball. For others it would be sweat but for him it was his way of seducing girls. If you'll ask any single girl in the school, "why is she single" You will find him guilty. He is nice at sports, nice at leadership, nice at coding— No! Perfect, I mean fantastic at coding. Like he could spend hours programming, and he still won't get bored. He is just too perfect.

One day Aava told me about a Kdrama. Where the female lead confessed her love to the male lead, and later they found out that the Male lead liked her all along.
I forgot to tell Aava's a big fan of kdrama.
And she encouraged me to confess Eero as the heroine did. I was reluctant at first, but the lonely life was replaying in my head. I mustered up the courage, and wrote a beautiful love letter — from chatgpt of course.
I went up to him while walking like a robot because I was damn nervous.
Confessing... — Confessing, What? I had never even talked to a boy before, speaking to him was just like giving a board exam. But, I still managed to spout some words out of me.
"I- I have som-something to say!"
He remained unfazed, as if I meant nothing to him. I stammered while I spoke to him.
And I even reached to the letter in my pocket, and was just going to hand him the letter. Then suddenly, something stopped me. I din't know what that was, but it had always stopped me from getting into romance. As if there's someone in my head, who gave all his best to keep me single.
I went back to my seat, with "mission unsuccessful" imprinted on my face.
When Aava saw me, she didn't scold me or anything but, instead comforted me. As if she knew this was gonna happen.
I put the letter inside my maths book, which was on my desk. And went with Aava to clean the board.
Then suddenly Onni — the notorious, and the male version of Regina George, asked Aava for her maths book which was also on my desk. She told him to look for it on the desk. Onni picked up my book, thinking of it as Aava's.
Like how can someone be this dumb? At least he should've taken a look at the name. Yeah... now I understood why he always fails in studies, because he itself is a failure.
And me foolishly had no idea what was happening. Until I replayed what Aava just said, in my mind.
I ran to Onni, and for the first time I spoke to a boy without stammering. I loudly demanded my book, the whole classroom fell silent, when I screamed. Everyone's eyes were on us. But, I stood there, like no power could make me step down.
I gave Aava's book to him. And turned as if nothing had happened, After doing that I went to my seat while checking the name of the book.
I was also sure by looking at Onni's face he was so annoyed when I yelled at him. But, I guess he did nothing just because I was a girl.
Then suddenly it hit me, the actual book I gave to Onni was mine. And the one in my hand was Aava's. I peeked out slowly at him, still hoping that he hadn't found the letter. But, to my disappointment the letter was in his hand.
He was reading that letter as if he had just found a content to troll. The more he read, a massive smile spread across his face.
And that day: I got a lesson to never ask chatgpt for something. Because the letter was just too poetic and lovely, for someone to not throw up.
I looked him in the eyes, trying to convince him to "don't". But I saw him smirk, before he lifted the love letter in the air. He called out my name as loud as he could, while looking at me. And then he started making fun of me, his voice dripping with amusement.
"Someone's in love with Eero."
I stood there, looking blankly at the floor. Because I didn't dare to look up.
"Let's see who is it?"
His voice was like a time bomb, which could explode at any moment.
"It is..."
The tik-tik kept buzzing in my ears waiting for him to detonate.
"Lumielle Vola"
kaboom
Was the sound which echoed in my head. I lifted my head, softly taking a glance at Eero, enough to find him looking at me... Was the expression "surprise" or "disgust" I didn't knew. But, It was enough for me to weep. I hung my head as tightly as I could to hide my tears. Just then, I found someone covering me with jacket, it was Aava. She bravely walked toward Onni, changing the atmosphere, per feet. She jumped close to Onni. And took the letter. Tore it to pieces, and took me out of the classroom.

Teacher called my parents. They came to pick me up. My mother kept bugging me with her questions rather than focusing, in which state her daughter was.
I exploded at her, and went to my room, shutting the door as hard as I could. The warmth of blanket hugging me, while I cried out to it. Was something, who never gave that to me in the whole day.
I cried out all night. Crush, school, romance — All ended that day for me. Eero Koski now was just a chapter in which I'd failed in.
I heard Aava knocking on my door. But, I didn't dare to open it. I kept myself locked in. I didn't even opened the door to eat.
Maybe it was just my way of escaping the reality, who failed me in every way. My brain tried to come out of the bed, but my body wasn't co-ordinating. My body didn't moved even a inch — Only the tears kept.
I looked at the roof above me. The dim light, fan, and the prince. Painted by me on the wall. Were looking at me as if they knew what is happening. I stared at the prince's glowing eyes. Which were unknowingly glowy today. And asked him,
"Where are you?"
But there was no response.
"How could there be a response from a drawing on the wall!"
I murmered to myself. While looking at his, golden sword — He withdrawed to protect his beloved. I yawned sleepily, eyes all droopy. And hugged the blanket, drifted into a sleep.

I woke up into a shiny castle. Surrounded by strange faces.
There wasn't even a single person whom I knew. But there was a catch — Everyone's gaze seemed so gentle toward me. Like so familiar. As if they knew me, better than I knew myself.
I ran to the closest mirror I could find. And saw the prettiest girl in the world — Me. The person in the mirror was me, but there was something which was different. Which made me confident, and full of self-esteem. As I was busy thinking what was happening.
I saw a boy, who came running toward me. A dark cloak draped over his shoulders, embroidered with gold. His boots clicked softly, his cloak flowing behind him. It was just like a fantasy. He put his hand over my waist, and asked me with his gentle voice,
"Darling... are you okay?"
