Chapter 1:The Choosing
Chapter 1: The Choosing
The village of Daveyton had never seen a night like this. The wind whispered through the trees, and the old house on the hill glowed with candlelight.
Amira stood frozen at the door. On the wooden table, inside a small carved box, lay the sacred necklace. It was said to choose its owner — no one could touch it unless it allowed them.
"Grandma said it would call me," she whispered.
Her cousin Lia laughed. "It's just old beads, Amira . Don't be scared."
But as Amira stepped closer, the beads began to glow — soft gold, then bright blue. The air got warm.
She reached out, her hand shaking.
The moment her fingers touched the necklace, a vision flooded her mind — her grandmother, young and beautiful, running through a forest, hiding the necklace from men in dark clothes.
"You are the chosen one," a voice whispered inside her head. "Protect it."
Lia gasped. "Amira! Your eyes!"
Amira didn't know it yet, but her whole life had just changed forever.
