Yara was the only daughter of her parents — quiet, kind, and full of dreams. One day, she went with her mother to a mirror shop. While he searched for something new, Yara noticed an old mirror in the corner. It was scratched and dull, yet something about it felt special. She asked her father to buy it, and they placed it in her room.
The next day at school, Yara was again laughed at. Her classmates called her plain, not pretty, and not stylish. They never noticed her writing talent or intelligence — only her looks. Hurt and lonely, she returned home, threw her bag down, and cried herself to sleep.
That night, a soft glow filled her room. The old mirror shimmered and spoke, “Why are you crying, child?”
