Summary

"You came here to fix your grades, Secretary. I came here to audit your life." Atlas Vance thought her biggest nightmare was failing her entrance exams and starting from scratch at the elite Apex Academy. But when a single night of rogue hacking reveals a confidential file stamped with her face—[TARGET STUDENT: MONITOR CLOSELY]—she realizes she’s being watched. Enter Professor Rehan: the arrogant, dangerously attractive substitute teacher with a fake neck brace, a silver watch, and a dark secret. He forcefully appoints Atlas as his official class secretary, dragging her into private morning review sessions where the line between academic instruction and intense, forbidden flirting blurs. While toxic rivals plot her downfall and back-row admirers fight for her attention, Atlas uncovers the ultimate truth: her professor isn't a teacher at all. He’s an undercover agent on a covert mission—and the very academy keeping her captive holds the key to her stolen past. When access is denied, some rules are made to be broken.

EPISODE 1: FRESH START, FROSTED GLASS

SCENE 1: THE BUS RIDE Rain trickles down the pitted window of the 6:00 AM city bus

ATLAS gazes at her reflection on the gloomy glass, fragments of memories flashing rapidly behind her composed mask- a laptop screen revealing a failure notice, crumpled practice tests that she had tossed in the trash- and her mother’s forlorn sigh

Her knuckles whiten as she grips her bag handles as the dread in her irises crystallize to form a sharpened blade.

ATLAS (Internal Monologue): “Failure was not an end- but it was my beginning. No matter how long my journey will be, not even shards of glass will stop me from entering the last sanctuary- Apex Academy.”

SCENE 2: MAZE OF SHARKS Atlas steps down from the bus, pausing momentarily before the glass-fronted monolith that is the entrance hall of Apex Academy. Hundreds of students- the intellectual elite- filter past her, focused and determined, poring over thick books and papers as they make their way into the building

Inside, Atlas finds herself wandering through an expansive hall, clutching desperately at the printout of her class schedule

ATLAS (Thought): “Class 102... Wing B... where on earth is it?”

A chipper young boy, dressed in a greasy canteen apron with two steaming cups of chai in his hands, slides up to Atlas’s side, balancing two samosas wrapped in a napkin on his forearms. This is none other than KABIR, the walking gossip column of the academy, renowned for his insider knowledge

KABIR: “Lost, are we? First-day jitters, entirely understandable! Seeking Room 102, perhaps?”

ATLAS (Blinks): “Yes, how did you-?”

KABIR (Grinning): “You have the look of someone who’s about to plunge into the shark tank. Head down the left wing, third door on your left. Avoid the front row at all costs if you value your life. Best of luck, transfer student!”

SCENE 3: FAKE SMILES & BACKROW CHAOS Atlas pushes open the heavy mahogany door of Room 102

The chatter abruptly hushes upon spotting her arrival, dozens of calculating eyes narrowing as they take in her unfamiliar face. The tension in the room is palpable

Broken the ice, two girls in the front row turn around with pleasant smiles plastered on their faces

RHEA (Waving): “Hey! Over here! Quick, quick! Sit down before someone else does!”

TARA (Nodding): “Yes, hurry up! The front row is the best place to be!”

ATLAS (Exhales, relief flooding through her): “Thank you so much! I’m Atlas.”

RHEA: “I’m Rhea, and this is Tara! Don’t worry, we always stick together here.”

Meanwhile, in the back row, DEV, a boy who lounges with his feet atop the table and idly spins a pencil on his chin, leans over to his perpetually drooling companion ZAK.

DEV (Whispers loudly): “I say the new girl will be sobbing by Friday.”

ZAK (His face pressed against his folded arms, eyes shut): “Make it two weeks... and let me sleep through the whole thing.”

SCENE 4: MASK OFF[ ONE WEEK LATER ]

A glowing digital board announces

[ WEEKLY MOCK TEST - RANK 1: ATLAS ]

Inside Room 102, Atlas answers a tough quiz question with flying colors, impressing the professor with her quick thinking and sharp wit. As murmurs of disapproval fill the room, Rhea and Tara- who have been seated together- suddenly glance up at Atlas with furtive, calculating expressions

Later at lunch, Atlas sits with Rhea and Tara, reaching out to snatch a paper towel off the table

Suddenly, Rhea’s smile turns cold as she subtly drags her gourmet lunch box away from Atlas’s reach. Tara quickly pulls out her phone, feigning interest in it as she pretends not to notice Atlas standing nearby

RHEA (Sweet smile): “Oh, sorry... I didn’t bring enough to share today.”

Atlas pauses in mid-motion, realization dawning on her- the cheerful front-row girls were only nice while she posed no threat to their rank

When the final bell rings, Atlas spends three seconds packing up her notebook before turning around to see Rhea and Tara conversing in the doorway, laughing as they exited towards the VIP study lounge. No one called out to her, no one offered her a seat

ATLAS (Internal Monologue): “Polite welcome, but no actual invitation. Fair enough, I didn’t come here to make new friends.”

SCENE 5: THE UNCONVENTIONAL SUBSTITUTEA few days later, the door creaks open to reveal a new substitute physics teacher- PROFESSOR REHAN, who carries a stack of reference books so large it looks like a mountain, wears thick-rimmed glasses, and a bulky white neck brace wrapped tightly around his neck

Snickering erupts in the classroom as Dev bursts into laughter, while Zak finally opens his eyes to gaze at Rehan

DEV: “Bro, did he get tackled by a giraffe?”

ATLAS (Thought, feeling a pang of sympathy): “Ouch... that neck injury looks quite nasty. Cruel room indeed for a first-day lecture.”

Rehan heaves the stack of books onto the table with a resounding THUD! before adjusting his glasses at a languid pace, giving the class a lazy, charming smirk

REHAN: “Laugh it up, guys. The neck may be immobilized, but my mind is sharper than all of yours combined. Now turn to page 45.”

He picks up a marker from the desk and turns to the board, effortlessly explaining complex equations with sharp wit and roasting each student in the room, turning the once-mocking crowd into an enraptured audience in under a minute

SCENE 6: THE CLIFFHANGER The bell rings. SUHANA- the most boisterous and flirtatious student in the class- immediately saunters up to Rehan’s desk, twirling a strand of her hair and leaning over his podium

SUHANA (Fluttering her eyelashes): “Sir~ I simply cannot understand this equation... Could you possibly tutor me privately after hours?”

Atlas shoulders her bag as she walks towards the exit, giving a contemptuous glance to SUHANA’s advances

While Rehan casually lifts a hand to pause Suhana mid-sentence, he looks past her at Atlas with a bemused expression

REHAN: “Hold that thought, Suhana.” (calls out) “Hey- Atlas, is it? Stop right there.”

ATLAS (Pauses at the door, pointing at herself): “Me?”

Rehan lifts a sleek black folder on his table, stamped with red ink- CONFIDENTIAL: ACADEMIC EVALUATION- and grins

REHAN: “Since you are the top scorer- and since Suhana here needs ‘extensive assistance’- you shall be my new official class secretary. Your first task begins tonight.”

Suhana’s eyes widen in outrage as Dev whistles quietly in the back row

Atlas’s eyes grow wide as Rehan flips open the folder, revealing a confidential page of her personal details with her photograph, stamped boldly in black letters:
