Snippet 1

His hand slid up the nape of her lower back as he pushed her against the iron door making a loud rattling that echoed in the candlelit chamber. Her eyes darted to the small vermin the sound had disturbed and sent running to their other hiding spaces. Her linen night dress, wet from the attempt to escape only moments before through the dewy reeds and grasses clung to her body like a second skin exposing the curves of her body and made her feel ill.

His rough callused hand crawled up the length of her back whilst getting tangled in her long dark hair that had fallen free of its ribbon.

She let out a small gasp and felt no control as her neck instinctively arched back from previous unsavory encounters with men.

He pulled gently on the silken tendrils exposing the supple flesh of her neck and groaned as he had not ever felt anything so delicious before. His mouth tasting every inch of her exposed skin and moving with a determined path towards her lips.

"Please..." she managed to speak although her voice cracked and hoarse, she spoke.

He ignored her plead.

Even softer, another "Please..." escaped her lips, barely a whisper now.

"Should I stop, little dove?" he laughed quietly at her.

The sound of his voice so close to her after all these years vibrated through her. His scent, of the wood and stone, intoxicated her. She would certainly not win this.

He pulled his face away just enough to stare his hard blue eyes into hers that she tried desperately to shelter with a furrowed brow. She froze.

He moved in again, slowly keeping his eyes locked on hers until he could no longer and burrowed his head to the side of hers.

"This IS what you expected, isn't it?" he hissed softly into her delicately pearled ear while starting again his path back towards her mouth.

She let out another pleasure filled gasp as the center of his body pushed even harder into hers- reeling in the sensations she was feeling again after so long. The weight of his body, a very real reminder of the choices she had made so long ago. The stock of his body grew against her belly quickly. And he met her eyes again. Piercing blue eyes that had come to collect a debt.

His hand grasped tighter and pulled her hair back, tilting her head back further as he growled into her ear, dripping caution on the tip of his tongue.

"Please..." She whimpered into the air above her that felt heavy and damp in her lungs with every ragged breath.

"This was our bargain, and you will make good on your debt to me. I promise, little dove."
