A Note From the Author

This story was originally imagined as a manga. Because of that, I write some scenes in a manga-inspired format rather than using traditional novel formatting.

Here is how to read the story:

(NAME: Dialogue) — What the character says.

[NAME: Thought] — What the character is thinking.

I use this format because it helps me express the story the way I imagine it—as if I'm watching manga panels in my head.

I'm still learning how to write novels, so this is my own way of bringing my manga-style stories into written form.
