Wish
It was an almost silent and beautiful rainy night, with stars visible a little between the rain clouds, looking like lights of hope in the darkness, and small, slow droplets of rain were making the ground shine.
And in between this beautiful, silent night, there was someone for whom this silence wasn't peace but chaos.
A 17-year-old girl, Natalya, was standing in front of an old church, which was only made up of white marble and had been abandoned long ago. She was completely soaked from the small droplets of rainwater, like she had been standing there for hours and had gotten completely soaked even from the small, slow rain droplets.
She was standing there with her eyes red and swollen, as if she had cried for hours and was still crying, or..... those were just water droplets on her face.
Suddenly, she kneeled down as if her legs had finally given up after hours of standing.
She sighed, like she had already had enough, and then slowly tilted her head up towards the church, facing it, and then a little, faint smile appeared on her face. She saw her trembling hands, and then—
She said, or wished, with a cracked and trembling voice, "G....God, if you really exist...... then can you please remove me from everyone's memory, especially from my loved ones, forever, s....so that they won't suffer because of me and live a peaceful and healthy life without worrying about a useless girl who gave up on everything and sucked out their luck and can't do anything for the people she loved the most."
While saying this, she almost cried, but then she didn't and stopped herself from crying, as if there was still something to say that was more difficult to say than holding her tears back, and that made her throat hurt. But still, she again started speaking with her low, painful voice.
And said, "Can you give my partner... a better partner than..... me, so he never suffers from my bad... luck like everyone and can cry on someone's shoulder with a healthy body?"
She bit her lip, which made her lips bleed. Those words were hard to say? And then she went completely silent. Then a tear rolled down her face, then another, and slowly she started crying and then shouted out loud, like she could not hold it in anymore. She continued crying, her eyes overflowing as her nose began to run, completely unconcerned by the tears and saliva trailing down her face.
Then she started breathing heavily, her vision started blurring out, and then—thud—she collapsed on the ground in front of the church because she had run out of energy. And then her vision started getting black, and she started losing her consciousness. Before she could completely lose consciousness, she mumbled, "Please...... This is my first, and l...."
Before she could complete the sentence, she lost consciousness completely and fainted.
