PROLOGUE
“Are you mad?” He asks, trembling, as he slowly starts walking up to me from the open door. “You’re supposed to be asleep right now. The medicine wore off pretty fast huh.” I say, my voice as cold as the room. I can tell he’s creeped out by my smile, “And no, I’m not angry.” I continue. He gulps and cautiously replies. “......So sharpening knives in the middle of the night is what, just a new hobby?” His voice cracks. I laugh, startling him. “Wow, very funny. Y’know, I love your jokes.” My hand finally stops as I stop sharpening the knife, and hold it towards the fluorescent light, that slowly buzzes above us. The knife glints and shimmers. “Perfect.” I sigh, running my finger through the blade. As expected, thick red blood trickles down my wrist, from my finger, down my arm, and onto the floor. A sick splat echoes in the room, and he falls to his knees. “Who-. No. What? What are you?” He chokes out, his face as white as a sheet of paper.
