The Door That Was Never There

Chapter 01: The Door That Glowed Mira was not supposed to go deep into the Blackwood Forest. Her grandmother had warned her a thousand times. "Never go near the stone arch, Mira. The door there doesn't lead outside, it leads INSIDE you." But that day, Mira had no choice. Her little brother Aarav was lost. She ran through the foggy trees, calling his name, until she saw it. In the middle of the forest, covered in moss and glowing vines, stood the door from the legends. A huge wooden door with golden carvings that pulsed like a heartbeat. Light was leaking from under it, and the air around it was filled with golden fireflies. "Aarav?" she whispered. And the door... whispered back. "Mira... I have him... come inside..." The golden handles moved on their own. The door creaked and opened just an inch. Inside, she didn't see trees. She saw a sky full of stars, but the stars were on the ground. And in the middle of it, stood Aarav, sleeping peacefully. "AARAV!" Mira didn't think. She ran and pushed the heavy door. The forest behind her vanished. And the door closed shut with a loud BANG, locking her inside the magical world forever. To be continued...
