Prologue
Before the five nations existed, before the Blood War stained the earth, there was only Elyndra.
One world.
One people.
One creation.
At the beginning of time, two brothers watched over the world.
The first was Elyrion, the God of Creation. From his hands came mountains and oceans, forests and skies. He created humans and magical creatures, giving each a place beneath the same sun.
His brother, Vaelrith, was the God of Destruction.
Where Elyrion created, Vaelrith destroyed. Where his brother gave life, he returned things to dust.
They were opposites, but they were meant to exist together.
For millions of years, Elyndra knew peace.
Humans lived alongside elves, fairies, spirits, and creatures born from magic. There were no borders between kingdoms. No armies marched against one another. No king claimed ownership of another's land.
But peace has a weakness.
It can be broken.
Vaelrith watched as humans praised Elyrion for everything he had created.
Every city.
Every harvest.
Every beautiful creature.
Every miracle.
And slowly, something darker grew inside him.
Jealousy.
"Why does he receive their love?" Vaelrith wondered.
"Why should everything belong to him?"
He could have destroyed Elyndra himself.
But destruction was not enough.
He wanted Elyrion to watch his beloved creation destroy itself.
So Vaelrith whispered into the hearts of humanity.
He did not give them evil.
He gave them desire.
The desire for more land.
More gold.
More power.
More control.
At first, the changes were small.
Neighbors became enemies.
Kings became greedy.
Friendships became alliances.
Alliances became rivalries.
And eventually, the first sword was drawn.
The war that followed would become known as the Blood War.
For years, Elyndra burned.
Magic that had once been used to protect life was turned against it. Kingdoms fell. Ancient creatures disappeared. Families were separated, and the harmony Elyrion had spent millions of years creating was shattered.
From the heavens, Elyrion watched.
And for the first time since the creation of the world...
The God of Creation wept.
He realized that he could not simply erase what had happened.
The people of Elyndra had changed.
And perhaps his greatest mistake had been believing that creation alone could guarantee peace.
So Elyrion made one final decision.
He raised his hands toward the heavens.
The earth trembled.
The oceans parted.
The skies roared.
And the world was divided into five nations.
From his divine power came five elemental forces:
Fire.
Water.
Earth.
Air.
And Lightning.
Each nation received an element.
Each element carried a fragment of Elyrion's power.
The people would live apart, separated by borders and generations of history.
But before Elyrion disappeared from the world, he left behind one final message.
A prophecy.
> When the five stand divided, three shall rise.
Born beneath different skies, yet bound by a power older than the nations.
Three shall carry the elements.
Three shall uncover the truth.
And when the three stand together, the world that was broken shall have a chance to become whole again.
Then Elyrion vanished.
The Blood War ended.
And the people began a new age.
They called their divided world Aevoria.
For thousands of years, the prophecy became nothing more than an old story whispered by elders.
Most people stopped believing in it.
But the elders never forgot.
They built a school on the neutral island of Elyndra, where children from all five nations could study together.
They called it Aetherion Academy.
Officially, it was created to bring the nations closer.
Unofficially, the elders had another reason.
They were searching for the three.
And after centuries of waiting...
their search was finally about to end.
