Synopsis
At twenty, Evie Mae Whitmore thought she knew exactly what she wanted.
She has a husband she loves, a future she has carefully planned, and a life that's falling perfectly into place. But life has a way of introducing people who challenge everything you thought you knew about yourself.
Then she meets HIM. He's only a few years older than her, but the difference between them is complicated by one undeniable fact, he is her professor, and she is married.
What begins as innocent conversations after class slowly becomes something neither of them can ignore. Every lesson brings them closer, every secret makes it harder to turn back, and soon she finds herself caught between the life she promised her husband and the temptation she never saw coming.
As lies begin piling on top of lies, she discovers that wanting something doesn't mean she's prepared for the consequences of getting it.

Her reputation.
And perhaps even her heart.
Evie can be stubborn, curious, and occasionally impulsive. She wants to believe she is in control of her decisions, even when her emotions begin pulling her in another direction.
Evie isn't malicious. None of her decisions are made with the intention of hurting the people around her.
But good intentions don't make every decision harmless.
Evie often convinces herself that if she isn't deliberately trying to hurt someone, then perhaps the consequences won't be as severe. As the lines between right and wrong become increasingly blurred, she learns a difficult truth
