Prologue
Vacations ended, and honestly, I was scared the calm I found would fade once I got back. But life has its surprises. On my very first day back at college, guess who I spotted? Aarav. Turns out he'd been here all along, just hidden behind the chaos that used to be my life. Maybe I was too blind to notice.
This time, though, I did. We started hanging out again, study sessions, canteen breaks, sometimes just exchanging memes during boring lectures. It felt natural. Comfortable.
And then one afternoon, while we were walking out of class, he stopped. "Rhea," he said, almost casually, "I like you . Not in a way to pressure you. Just... I like being around you. And if you ever feel the same, great. If not, that's fine too. You're still my friend."
My heart was racing so... Fast but, this time I knew what to choose.
