Summary

I lacked her. But that wouldn't be true for long. I would rise among the ranks of wolves, kill among the court of men and live among the scars of witches, to make her mine.

Chapter 1

I craved her. I craved her smell on the sea, her blood in my bed and my wrath on her bedside table.

And in my dreams, I claimed her. I claimed everything and anything I could crave.

Unfortunately, werewolves dream when they're in wolf mode so I had to send to her to magic school. When she can defend herself, then I'll let her out. Then I'll claim her, in sickness and in health.

I would dream about her. I would finally see the woman I loved in a dream.

Just one more year, Adam. I can do it.

{Tomorrow morning}

I dreamed about her. Impossible. She's in magic school , learning how to kill Specters. Specters are loops of energy that fry reality and create things that change. Like virtual particles.

Or werewolves.

If a human is the only thing capable of change within a field, then she is the strongest magic force in the field. No danger.

But how the fuck did I dream about her? In my dream, I...I...

I fucking killed her and bathed in her blood.

There has to be some mistakes. I was still tangled in my bedsheets. I wouldn't get near the magic school.

Unless...I became something more than a wolf. I crawled out of bed. I checked my Google Calendar. There were still 3 years until she completed magic school. So what the fuck was happening to my dreams?

The Lunan in my heart began to ache. It was the substance that shifted me. It has seen me through birth. It would see me through death. But it demanded companionship to see me through this. I would have to start a pack, I thought as I showered. The apartment was so quiet without her. The Lunan in my veins wanted her back. A pack would fool the Lunan into thinking that I was summoning an army to hunt down my girl. My blood ran cold. To start a pack...I would have to declare myself an Alpha and live in a dorm for a week with the most enchanting of witches in the nearest magical institution. Naturally, I opened Google Maps, and tried to search for things with the calling card Wtd instead of Ltd ( Wtd stands for Witches Till Death - the motto of most reputable witch schools.)

The result that came by made me want to kick my door down right before I even put my running shoes on. Glen Academy, Wtd. The same fucking school that my prized possession fucking enrolled in. It would be fine. I would say hello to her in the day but when the sun goes down, hello dorm room bed. Who would fucking be my roommate? The strongest of enchantresses apparently. At least the strongest the school could offer. It would be so much easier if this was a dingy, building that I could mount by night and escape all eyes but a witch would be an... inconvenience. I am just a person lacking what I need to survive. Nothing more , nothing less.

But everything more and nothing less for her.

My dark hair was bound in the hoodie I wore. My torso was made of fucking steel and scars. I was 6 foot 7. A witch and her obsession with judgement, obsession with justice, would be accounted for. Accounted for in the number of people I have scarred. The number of people I followed to heaven, who followed me back to Hell.

I started with light jog. It was 4 in the morning. I should have been by the Glen Academy in 2 hours.

It was still dark outside, though.i closed my eyes. I knew what the world looked like. I knew who I wanted to take from it. Who I wanted to be mine. Everything else was blood on a soundless wind. Everything else was a howling wind among corpses, creeping invisibly to reach what it wanted. What it packed that it craved.

A snarl made it's way to my throat. Ladies and gentlemen, meet me in Lunan Dormiens. Me as a wolf. The Lunan coated my dermis as I ran. That was normal. Then I began to focus on a few, specific motifs. Just as I would very, very, very soon focus on her. I made it to the Glen Academy by 4:30am. They assumed I was a kidnapper and made me do standard protocol.

I had to hold a bag. It was heavy enough to be a human. I had to do multiple lifts with it. Without using my back. A werewolf kidnaps by tossing someone over their back. These guys were testing if my other muscles were developed. Meaning I had not really been doing kidnapping. The bag was not large enough to have the volume of a human. That was the point. If it came to it, a werewolf would always use their back. Meaning I was not a kidnapper.Next, I went to the office. It was a gaping room with a bunch of paintings on the walls. It likes to keep track of the murdered staff. There were 2 men behind me. They were nowhere near my height or build. Excellent. I would wait here to be attended to and then I would be closer to becoming an Alpha. Just 1 week. Well, not a human week. A werewolf's week is 31 human days. A witch's week is the same.

Eventually, she walked past me. The girl that would only be mine. Her blonde hair almost sparkled. I wanted to blind myself with it. The only thing I would ever need to have seen.

"I know what you're here for, Adam. You stated your plea at the Security Protocol. Someone's grown ambitious. You know the standard Alpha Train. You live a witch's week with the strongest witch in the academy. You share the room. You eat the same food. You support the same things. Then, from the heartbreak of leaving such a bond, you will be broken. Vulnerable. In the world of men , you will be hunted. But you must take them as your own. It will be pathetic at first, but you will become an Alpha. If you succeed. If you do not, then you are what we call an Omega. You will be abandoned. Every witch, including me, will be forbidden from helping you. Adam Von, do I accept you as the Alpha?"

It was the first step to claim dominance. To conquer. To speak someone else's answer, knowing they would agree. But she seemed excited.

"You do. But who is taking me, as their werewolf for the week?"

"Me. The other person, who has scored higher than me, when you arrived...he vanished."

31 days. I would have to support her freedom.

I smiled, knowing my Lunan, powering through my veins, disagreed.
