Chapter 1
Sometimes the things we fear most begin with something completely ordinary, and that's exactly what happened to Manra on the train.”
Manra was sitting comfortably and listening to her favourite song and then she opened her phone to change the song and next, she saw her best friend's message, she softly smiled while reading her message, out of nowhere a unknown message popped up shortly after she clicked on that message and started to read in the message it was written that, "Hi Manra! How are you? I know you will not be fine After reading this message by the way you look gorgeous while smiling~ Someone you don't remember" after reading this message her smile faded, for a moment she got freezed after that she replied, "Who are you?" Not long after the unknown person replied, "I told you before that, I'm someone who you don't know but yeah I can see how terrified you are while reading this message." After reading this message she looked around the coach, again she got a message from that unknown person saying,"Don't look around."Manra froze. Her fingers tightened around her phone. She didn't know what to do. She slowly looked at the people around her again. And she knew that, someone was watching her.Manra stayed completely still. She didn't want to look around again. If someone really was watching her, she didn't want them to know that she had noticed.
She slowly lowered her phone and looked at the reflection in the train window instead.
At first, she saw nothing unusual. Then she noticed a figure sitting several seats behind her.
A person in a dark hoodie. They weren't looking at their phone. They weren't looking out the window. They were looking directly at her. Manra's breath caught. She blinked. The person looked away. Her phone vibrated again. Unknown: Don't turn around. Manra stared at the message. She didn't turn around. Instead, she kept looking at the reflection in the train window. The person in the dark hoodie was still there. Her phone vibrated again.
Unknown: Good girl. You listened. Manra's hands went cold. She quickly locked her phone and placed it beside her. For a few seconds, nothing happened. Then the train suddenly entered a tunnel. The windows turned completely black. And in that darkness, Manra saw something that made her heart stop. A reflection. Not of the person behind her.
Not of herself. It was the reflection of a girl standing in the same train coach. A girl wearing an old-fashioned white dress. Manra turned toward the window. There was nobody there.
She blinked. The reflection was gone. Her phone vibrated once more. She slowly looked at the screen. There was a new message. Unknown: You saw her, didn't you? Manra couldn't move. Who was that girl? And more importantly—How did the person texting her know what she had seen? The train came out of the tunnel. The sunlight returned. But Manra couldn't shake the feeling that something from her past had just found her. And she had no idea what it wanted. The phone screen went black. A few seconds later, it lit up again. Unknown: This is only the beginning.
