CHAPTER 1 THE FIRST ENCOUNTER
«“At Siam Royal University, everyone had a secret. Some carried dreams… some carried a second gender.”»
Bangkok never slowed down.
The morning streets were filled with motorcycles, cafés, and students rushing toward Siam Royal University—Thailand’s most prestigious university.
It wasn’t a university only for Alphas, Betas, and Omegas.
Normal students studied here too. They were simply called Normals, living ordinary lives beside Alphas, Betas, and Omegas without any difference in classrooms, clubs, or friendships.
No one wore labels.
A person’s second gender was private. Some students proudly knew they were Alpha, Beta, or Omega. Some hid it completely. Others hadn’t awakened yet and didn’t even know what they were.
On campus, everyone was simply… a student.
---
The Ice King
A black sports car stopped in front of the Engineering building.
A tall young man stepped out wearing a perfectly ironed white university shirt, sleeves rolled neatly to his forearms.
Phayu Thanawat.
Third-year Engineering.
Top of his department.
Feared by juniors.
Admired by almost everyone.
“Morning, Phi Phayu!”
He answered with a small nod before walking toward class.
Behind his calm expression was a secret very few people knew.
He was a True Alpha.
---
The Freshman
At the opposite gate…
“Excuse me! Sorry!”
A boy squeezed through the crowd while balancing an iced vanilla latte, a backpack, and three textbooks.
His soft brown hair refused to stay neat.
This was Nuea Aran, a first-year Business student.
Cute.
Confident.
Always smiling.
Unlike Phayu, Nuea had never awakened his second gender.
He believed he was probably Normal.
And honestly…
He never thought much about it.
---
Crash
The central library hallway was packed with freshmen searching for classrooms.
Nuea checked his timetable while walking.
“Business… Room B-305…”
Bang!
He walked straight into someone’s chest.
Books exploded across the floor.
“My God! I’m so sorry!”
He immediately knelt down.
Another hand calmly picked up the scattered books before him.
Long fingers.
A silver engineering ring.
Nuea slowly looked up.
Grey eyes met warm amber ones.
“You’re blocking the hallway,” the senior said calmly.
Nuea scratched the back of his neck.
“Sorry, Phi.”
The senior handed him the books.
“B-305 is upstairs.”
“You know?”
“I pass it every day.”
Nuea smiled so brightly it almost caught Phayu off guard.
“Thank you!”
He ran upstairs without asking the senior’s name.
Phayu watched him disappear.
A soft breeze drifted through the corridor.
For one impossible second…
He caught the faint scent of warm vanilla.
His footsteps stopped.
His heartbeat echoed once inside his chest.
“…Vanilla?”
He frowned, then continued walking as if nothing had happened.
Neither of them realized that their ordinary university life had just become anything but ordinary.
