Summary

In a private academy of international prestige they study heirs, prodigies and brilliant scholarship holders under an unwavering rule: No one leaves the campus until they graduate. But during a summer, eight students decided to break that rule. Only seven returned. The death of the eighth was declared an accident. The case was closed quickly. Too fast. And silence became the only condition for their lives to remain intact. A year after the incident they promised to bury forever, the group is forced to meet again within the same walls where it all began. But this reunion doesn't bring nostalgia. Bring glances that dodge each other. Conversations that are cut off. Guilt that no one wants to name. And then the surprises appear. Rumors that resurface. Punishments that have no explanation. Truths that someone decided to start digging up. Because the past didn't stay in that summer. And what they are about to discover has the power not only to change what they think happened that night... But to destroy them all.

Introduction

Welcome.

If this diary has fallen into your hands, consider yourself lucky.

You hold nothing less than the Holy Grail of Angelwood Institute. That’s right: within these pages lie the most shameful and dangerous secrets of the entire institute—or rather, of the elite class in general.

You might be wondering how something as significant as this diary ended up in your hands—yours, a new student or an invisible nobody whose name no one knows. Well, let me tell you: you are holding Pandora’s box. You have the chance to vent all your hatred within the safe confines of these pages by writing down the juiciest, most scandalous secrets of our beloved elitist peers at Angelwood Institute.

WARNING!

As with any diary, there are strict rules you must follow if you want to stay alive at the institute:

1) You cannot show this to any unauthorized person—especially not the key figures mentioned in these pages. Remember, this notebook is an exclusive pastime for us, the anonymous ones. You must not get caught with it under any circumstances.

2) Do not reveal the secrets contained here or attempt to use them as threats; remember, they don't know that *you* know.

3) Be as honest as possible. We accept no falsehoods—only the truth, and nothing but the truth. If you have evidence, share it.

4) Never, under any circumstances, write your name—whether as writer or reader—inside this notebook.

5) If you take photos, record videos, or attempt to share its contents by any means, you will face consequences. I advise you to think twice before doing so.

6) If they discover the existence of this notebook, you have full permission to get rid of it.

And you’d better get rid of it, or you’ll wish you had never set foot in Angelwood Institute. REMEMBER:

There are eyes and ears everywhere, watching at all times to ensure you follow all the rules. With this journal in your hands, you can choose who you want to be: writer, reader, witness, lookout, etc. You can be whatever you want. This is your world of freedom; here, no one will judge anyone else.

Take care. Kisses and hugs, from one anonymous person to another.

Biva: Quite good for a novella. Impressive writing style and we'll edited. Just one thing- Karla keeps referring herself to a stray cat and while at first it makes sense the analogy gets stale after a while.
