Chapter 1
Chapter 1 — Zainab
In a peaceful village surrounded by green fields, an old mosque, and simple mud houses, there lived a respected and religious man named Abdul Rahman.
Abdul Rahman was known throughout the village for his wisdom, kindness, and good character. He lived a simple life, but his home was filled with peace and love.
He had only one daughter, Zainab.
Zainab was nineteen years old. She was beautiful, modest, and gentle by nature. She had an oval face, large brown eyes, and a soft, innocent expression. She usually wore a long light-green dress with a white dupatta.
Many people noticed her beauty, but her father valued something much more important about her—her character.
Abdul Rahman had raised Zainab with love, modesty, patience, and respect for others. He often reminded her,
"My daughter, beauty is a gift from Allah, but good character is what makes a person truly beautiful."
Zainab would smile and reply,
"I will always remember that, Father."
She respected her father deeply and trusted his wisdom.
Their life was simple and peaceful. Every morning, the sound of the village mosque could be heard across the fields. People went about their daily lives, children played in the narrow streets, and the village remained calm.
But neither Abdul Rahman nor Zainab knew that their peaceful life was about to change.
One morning, a young man named Hamza came to their house.
He was twenty-five years old, with brown hair, a light beard, and a serious expression. He had come to ask Abdul Rahman about a religious matter.
Abdul Rahman welcomed him politely and invited him to sit.
They began talking.
A few moments later, Zainab quietly passed through the courtyard. Her white dupatta was covering her head, and she immediately went inside.
Hamza happened to see her.
For a moment, he remained silent.
He was impressed by her beauty and modesty.
After finishing his conversation with Abdul Rahman, Hamza returned home. But the image of Zainab remained in his thoughts.
He did not know it yet, but this brief meeting would become the beginning of a lesson that would change his understanding of love forever.
