Summary

Humanity is all about emotions. Happiness, sadness, joy, disbelief, anger etc. This book is a collection of poems depicting many different emotions and reactions that come with day to day life, both good and bad. The human heart is a complex compartment and understanding emotions is even harder, but maybe just maybe. This book will shine a little feeling of nostalgia and familiarity on the emotions that make us human.

Chapter 1 - Malaise

Malaise: A general feeling of discomfort, uneasiness, or depression whose exact cause is hard to identify.

A breath hitches indicating life

The seasons calm, almost blinding

Not a single incline of strife

The sun seated up high, almost laughing

The flowers blooming in a race to reach the sky

A hand tremors, and a heartbeat quickens yet still

In such a serene moment?

Surely not!

'Anxiety perhaps?' A thought muses

Surely, you jest!

What is there to fear in this trice

Yet, the feeling deters not

Always growing and ever stout in stature

The feeling of malaise heightening in structure

Boldly mounting it's position

Permanent and unrelenting in composition

The suns rays are inviting

The warmth of life envelops in a tranquil hug

Yet, unease, discomfort, and anxiety bloom

From the depths of a place truly unknown

Happiness is meant to reside

However this depression has made itself a room

In chambers far hidden from all sides

Perhaps, that is always how it was meant to be known

Peace and termoil closely related might be it

Just maybe, joy cannot live without malaise in place

Sarah: That’s actually really interesting. It sounds like you put a lot of thought into the world before bringing the characters into it. Did you already have the main story in mind while you were building the regions and places, or did the world itself inspire the story as you created it?
