WHO AM I ACTUALLY?
WHO AM I ACTUALLY
Introduction
Let me tell you a few things about me.
My name is Jessica, but everyone calls me Jess. I'm fourteen, in 10th grade, and I'd pick hoodies and sneakers over dresses any day. People say I'm a little weird. Honestly, I think that's a compliment.
I carry my camera everywhere, because I like catching moments before they disappear. I read one book a month, no more, no less. Music is my escape, and I dream of learning guitar, piano, and every instrument I can get my hands on. I also want to try bungee jumping and ice skating, just to see who I turn into when I'm scared and excited at the same time.
Have I done any of it yet? Not even close. I'm lazy, and I'm the queen of "I'll do it tomorrow."
But here's my secret. Every now and then, something clicks inside me, and a voice says, "Now. You have to do this now." And when that voice speaks, nothing in the world can stop me.
I'm not strong, and I'm not weak. I'm somewhere in the middle, and I've never been sure that's a good place to be.
I'm also smart, but being smart didn't protect me from being hurt. I trust people too easily, and some of them have already shown me that it was a mistake. Still, I have Mattie, my best friend, who is proof that not everyone breaks promises.
So this is my story. It's about a girl who wants more experiences, more courage, and a real answer to one question:
Who am I, really?
