Prologue: RECAP

Juliana De’Marquis, explorer of the multiverse and hero against the Barded Ones, finds herself in a whole new scenario. Her old lover, Jonathan Pike, is dead. He sacrificed himself to save Liana so that she could defeat the Barded Ones once and for all. After the fated battle, Liana then got recruited by Annaeus Ratelle and Mikaiah Zirie to become a mage. Of course, the Undertow also changed around her, with or without her knowledge.

First, Queen Alisandra lost her powers. She had to learn how to shine brighter than ever before. She had to regain a new sense of fiery mirth, as well as look after a young girl named Lia. Alisandra truly reinvented herself as the Phoenix Queen.

She restored balance to the Undertow, especially just in time for Liana and Mikaiah to train under the tutelage of Annaeus Ratelle. She took part in a brief Mage Civil War, though it was nothing like the legendary ‘Unrick Wars’, as well as slaughtered many Ancient Beast-Gods. Alisandra learned she could absorb their powers, and the rest was history.

In between all of that, Regen Buirell had teleported herself to an alternate Earth. There, she met alternate versions of her former teammates from back in the ‘Crofton & Soiree Defense Force’. The ‘Crofton & Soiree Defense Force’ was a group of intergalactic space-farers who believed only they should have any ‘Interdimensional Traveling Devices’, or ‘ITDs’.

Regen helped them clean the ship and fix any computers that went haywire. However, one of the members, Carmen Tartarus, went rogue and maniacal. He hunted down the members one by one. When Regen tragically failed to get him to see reason, she used a device to travel to an Earth that had an alternate Carmen on it.

On that Earth, she fell in love with Carmen’s older brother, a debonair college student named Mavier Tartarus. Despite their budding romance, this alternate Earth was not-so-secretly riddled with turmoil over social issues. As he planned to go down in a blaze of glory, Mavier sent Regen to another alternate Earth while he succumbed to a fatal spinal injury. At least, that was the last that anyone had ever seen of Mavier Tartarus.

Meanwhile, in between the events of A Zodiac’s Thesis, two primordial entities found themselves playing a little ‘game’. The Primordial Entity of Destruction, Mohlyen, had gone to play a game with his brother, the Primordial Entity of Paralysis, Calduze.

The game was called ‘Mahadoggha’, and the rules were simple enough. Wake up in another life and personal narrative, learn what it means to be mortal, and wake back up as Gods with newfound sympathies and self-actualizations.

The last iteration of Mahadoggha they had played, however, ended tragically when Calduze, at the time masquerading as a boy named ‘Morris’, fell traumatized to his mortal circumstances. Even as he awoke from the ‘dream’, he sent their current universe away into a dimension known as the ‘Evergone’.

Thankfully, in their second iteration, Mohlyen and Calduze got it right in their roles as Suvius and Morris Brighton. But Calduze, and his female form Caldusa, learned of a whole new power that they had.

A little while after, a beachy and adventurous girl named Drusilla Valcyon took to exploring the multiverse on her own. She drove Queen Alisandra’s ITD, known as the Ceranemes, and crash-landed it into a city known as Highgate. It was an alternate-earth England. There, she befriended a Gothic scouser named Mina Harker.

They uncovered a plot from an organization, known as the ‘Fieldsmen’, to destroy all vampiric creatures, both Chiropticana and Cursed-Blood alike. However, the plot thickened when an old father figure of Mina’s came back into her life.

An old-fashioned and rough-and-tumble man, Samwane Bastailk, had bumped elbows with a lot of people in his life. It helped that he could live a long time. In the end, Drusilla unmasked the leader of the Fieldsmen to be none other than the version of Abigail Williams, from Salem, Massachusetts, on Mina’s Earth.

With titular women coming into their own, the Undertow was permanently changing. However, there were more stories begging to be told from other friends. Liana De’Marquis had to amass a team, now more than ever before. Something awful had begun. Even back from the moment when Queen Alisandra defeated the last of the known Ancient Beast-Gods. Even back from the tale of the Unrick Wars, as told by Annaeus Ratelle.

Lord Carrehlor of the Revellichs had begun his invasion.

Now, six unlikely heroes will have to learn how to bond in order to save the multiverse:

Mikaiah Zirie, a short fellow with Shape Magic. He can conjure up rectangles, triangles, and rods. They’re usually yellow and ethereal. He sports a look of medium-length and bright red hair. With his boyish blue eyes, he stands by Liana’s side with all the love in his heart. He has fair skin and often wears a blue coat with a bit of red. His nasally voice is somehow a heart-throb. He fights with languid action, reserving his true strength.

Then, Liana De’Marquis, a short woman to stand as an equal with Mikaiah. She recently came into the power of magic as a Covenant Mage. A Covenant Mage is someone who makes a deal with a stronger mage for a portion of their Staminance. Staminance is the energy reserves of magic. She has long, wavy brown hair and freckles. Otherwise, she has fair skin and a classically posh accent from Brighton Isle, England.

Then, Lahwin Requiette, a taller fellow, has a pair of boomerangs. He used to wear all black, as well as a burgundy hat. Now, he wears a white hoodie and jeans. He has medium-length dark hair and dark red eyes.

He’s no vampire, however. His dark red eyes hail from his mother, the very Queen of the Undertow. And she got those eyes from a magical transformation. Lahwin’s boomerangs are very well trimmed, however, making the sandalwood sharp as a tack.

Then, Drusilla Valcyon, a beachy and tropical girl. She’s a ‘Chiropticana’, a species of Bat-Human from an Alternate Earth. She likes both blood and fruit, but can go without one or the other for a certain prolonged amount of time.

She wears a white bohemian shirt and orange pants. She also likes to collect sunglasses and necklaces. Drusilla has always liked to dress this way, but even more so lately, as she learns to honor her Romani ancestry. She can bite, scratch, and use a sword.

Then, Lynar Unrick, a mage with dark red hair down to his neck. He is also a Covenant Mage, limited to using only ten spells a day. He has emerald green eyes. He wears a green jacket, or a dark gray T-Shirt, and sometimes a scarf. He also, sometimes, wears fingerless gloves.

He’s an ‘Unrick’, hailing from a family with powerful Staminance Reserves, but he, mysteriously, struggles to tap into the ancestral power. Still, he’ll help the team with what few spells only he knows.

And, lastly, there is Regen Buirell. A city girl with medium-length light-blue hair and a penchant for computers, smoothies, and swords, too! Regen will come to find that she’s got a lot more under her sleeve than anyone first thought.

She often wears sporty jackets or pink T-Shirts. She has gray blue eyes and pale skin. She has a heavy past, and every day is a single step towards healing in the right direction. She helps the group with swords, much like Drusilla, but also likes to out-sass her opponents.

But! Together, these six will put their strengths to the test.
